I have no knowledge on that except for the redmi note 3 special edition - which is not top end (redmi is their 'budget' line).
However my redmi note 3 has:
FDD-LTE B1/B3/B4/B5/B7/B8
TDD-LTE B38/B39/B40/B41: 2555-2655MHz
The only band it doesn't support of Telstra's is the coveted band 28, but 4g works perfectly fine in my suburban area. The 'special edition' is currently exclusive to Taiwan and comes with band 28 but apparently it might be widely available in USA soon according to 'beta testing' of products there. Of course this may just be a different model (i.e. mi5), though.

The new Nexus leaks today worry me that the 6P will have smaller bezels and better speakers. May consider upgrading from the 6 to the 6P. Or jumping off the bandwagon.
