    Why should I buy this when I can get 5TB for the same price?

      Kiwi humour gets lost in translation :P

      • Hahahaha tell me about it!

  • This is the newest version of the SSD

    So the question is…

    What's the difference?

    Because Australian Stock is only ~$9 more…

      You save $10

        So… is there a speed difference? Feature difference?

        Anything?!

        • Old Version : Read/write speeds of up to: 480MB/s/400MBs

          New Version: Read/write speeds of up to: 535MB/s/445MBs

          Yep, that thing that everyone can get a free trial for ;)

          @Spackbace:

          And possibly risk forgetting to cancel it and end up paying an $99 USD.

          Its the cheapest at time of posting regardless of what you say

          Maybe try and turn you negative attitude towards deals and channel them into some kind of positive argument. $9 is a good saving. And if you use a referral via app, that's another $7 saving = $16 saving in total.

          Can you post your source please EC - I bought one from MSY the other day (assuming it's the old version?) after considering the Amazon (new version) and couldn't find any info/reviews that explained the difference. Trying to find out if the new version still uses MLC and if uses different NAND. Thanks :)

        • @lyl:

          Cheers Lyl - glad i got the old (MLC) version then!

          @lyl:

          Some sites are claiming its second Gen MLC 19mm

          Also MLC according to newegg http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820173…

        • -1

          @Qbagger:

          Just used google. One site claims its 19mm 2nd Gen MLC and also Newegg have MLC in specs

        • @easternculture:

          Yeah there's also this Amazon Review claiming MLC

          very confusing, but hopefully newegg is right

  • I haven't heard anything about this drive so it's probably fine, but do note that newer revisions aren't always a good thing. Example.

    Really attractive price for an RGB MX Brown keyboard, but the keyboard itself is really unattractive D:

  • Price is now $143 delivered , down $7 from when I originally posted this deal

  • Done, I had some spare credit with Amazon so it cost me $89 US

  • Can anybody confirm if this is MLC or TLC?
