          It may have something to do with the fact every single review card sent out for the RX470 was THIS CARD!.. maybe AMD partnered up with Asus for the RX470 and made this strix card the default defacto reference model if you will.. mass producing it like crazy = cheaper then other brands

    AUD$ 288.10 is still a good price about $40 - 30 cheaper than pccg xfx rx-470 but that is without warranty

    I hope AMD releases a cheaper card like a RX450 or RX440 for <$100. that has HDMI 2.0 so i can run those cheap 4K TVs at 60hz on my HTPC

      They have an RX460 but its TWICE .. YES TWICE As slow as THIS card but costs like $35US less lol :)

        yeh they kinda misplaced the RX470. Too close to RX480 and too far from RX460.

        Rx460 4g is more than $200 AUD, i am very happy to pay $70 more to get double performacne on Rx470

      The cheap 4K TVs generally have horrible input lag. So if it's 4K 60hz gaming you are after - you might have to spend a fair bit more.

        the inbuilt Gpus aren't bad , if the 7th gen Intel has this level of performance I'd get a new motherboard and Cpu , but considering how much power the 470 needs and heat it generates that would be a major breakthrough from Intel to come up with an equivalent and put it on an i5 or i7 …… the cpu would be running at about 200 watts……

      :).. After reading all the reviews for this card i purchased 2… Its 5 to 15% slower then RX480 depending on game.. And it used 144w vs 167w of power on the rx480 asus strix

      Its also the coolest runing AMD next gen card out there at 64c temps. Vs the rx480 asus strix at 67c :) but at $100 US less then the rx480 strix i dont see much point going for the 480 to get a pathetic 5 to 15% improvment
