Really recommend Captain Toad Treasure Tracker. One of the more enjoyable games I've played in recent years.

    • +1

The difficulty levels really do go from incredibly easily, to bloody hard with Captain Toad, a true must have Wii U game imo

      • +1

The maze level at the very end, a 50 level map from memory, really felt like an accomplishment when I finished it.

The time challenged are incredibly tight too if you decide to go for those. Think I did about a third of those:

      Hated it.

Felt banal most of the time. Like it ticked the boxes but wasn't actually any fun.

At least I'm aware of what Super Mario 3D World is like due to the bonus levels in Toad. Definitely not buying that either.

The only mario games I'm still enjoying are the galaxy series and paper series. The 2d ones have lost their charm too.

      • Fair enough. I wouldn't write off 3D World though based on Captain Toad. They are quite different.

          Good to know. Thanks

    Works in Oz?

    • +1

      Yes its PAL

    • +3

We actually have the same discs as Europe.
All my Australian Wii U games have German USK ratings printed on the disc and some also have a PEGI rating printed.

  • So this is sent from UK?

    • +1

      correct

  • Why does it say 'pre-order' and a releaes date of 30 Sep 2016 on both ozgameshop and base.co for Super Mario World 3D. I thought this game came out years ago?

    • +6

The selects range comes out at that time with the new low price and different packaging.

      • Oh ok, thanks!

      • Will they arrive before the 3rd of September? Thinking of getting as a birthday present on the 4th!

        • Hard to say, it'll be coming from the UK. At worst it would be a day or 2 late I'd say

        • @Spackbace:

They won't send out till after September due to release being the the 30th of sep?

  • -3

I'd be ashamed to put this "selects" range in my library. A real ozbargainer would source the original ones at a bargain price 😉

    • +1

Coz everyone would care about your Wii u game collection? :P

  • +1

Picked up all four for ~102AUD delivered, thanks OP!

  • great prices! Mario 10 the least worthwhile IMO

excellent value the other 3. Super Mario 3D the best game on the system IMO

  • +1

Hot diggity! SM3DW, Pikmin 3 & CTTT for under $30?! Snagged! Thanks OP!

    • +3

Why wouldn't Ozbargainers be a in a range of ages? Also, after having recently bought a Wii U (for the kids), I've been reminded just why Nintendo games have lasted so long - whilst the games can often seem very G-rated and cartoony, the core underlying gameplay is absolute perfection. SMB on Wii U and SM3DW are just perfect platformers - the controls are spot on, the challenges are scalable (from kids to hardcore gamers).

I remember reading an article that pointed out how clever Nintendo games where - the first level of SMB essentially taught you how to play the game in its entirety - by the end of the first level you understood the controls, bricks, different jumps etc.

Lego City Undercover also became a select game recently and is available on that site for £15.85

    • Great little number that is, well worth the purchase!

  • Has anyone else had any issues purchasing the games?
It just leads me to a "for your security, do not click on the refresh or back button or this transaction may be interrupted or cancelled". With an option to enrol to certified by Visa but I don't get any confirmation e-mails, nothing's been withdrawn from my card and checking the order history on the site it says nothing :/

    • They don't charge you till they are ready to fill the order.

      • Thanks! I figured out the issue, just had to click on 'enrol later' then the order is confirmed!

  • Does anyone know if the 3DS games on this site can be played within our region?
I see Zelda Ocarina of Time is pretty cheap, £15.19.

    • +1

Yes they can be. Just not games from US and Japan, but Europe is fine

    • +1

If it is PAL then will work on Aus 3DS consoles.

    • A link between worlds is good price too.

  • Does this mean if I buy now it won't ship for another ~5 weeks?

    • Yes. It's a preorder, it will dispatch on the day of release or a couple of days before.

  • PS4 games some are at good prices too.

  • +1

    maybe of interest to some.

Animal Crossing amiibo Festival (Nintendo Wii U) £15
Sonic and All Stars Racing Transformed: Limited Edition (Wii U) £13

  • Thanks OP. I've been waiting for SMW3D.

Very cool platformer — especially the level synced to "Black Betty"!

    • Rayman Legends was $5 when Target and Big W cleared them out months ago.

      • Yes, but I'm guessing there aren't many here with a Tardis :-)
