  • store name in title please!

  • Any opinions - is it worth paying $42 more to get the motorhead attachment or not?

    • Depends if you know if you are going to use it or not. They are like $80 on their own.

Also what model are you looking at thats $42 cheaper?

      • With this 15% deal, the regular V6 is $381.65 and the V6 Motorhead is $424.15 from Myer eBay C&C

        • What floor types do you have at home?
The mini head is perfect if you clean anywhere you sit and lie on e.g. your couch/beddings/car seats.
The two have slightly floor type aimed heads.
In overall better value for your money, the V6 motorhead you should go for but it might not be suitable for your floor types hence why I'm asking.

        • @cortex21:

We have hard wood floors. It's a small one bedroom apartment, so most vacuums work well.

        • @JimJim: Well the motorhead spins faster than the regular V6 one. It is designed for carpets and tiles but (not guaranteed but small chances of) can leave foot traffic like light scuffs on a hardwood floor.
For your situation, you should get the regular V6
If you do not care for that potential scuffing, then the V6 motorhead is perfect otherwise.

        • @cortex21:

Ahh ok. I thought the difference was only the mini motorised tool attachment for removing hair from couches etc.?

(Thanks for all the advice thus far everyone, really appreciate it)

        • @JimJim: No the V6 motorhead has a stronger head hence why they split and created the fluffy for hardfloors.

If the V6 animal is between those two prices that is also an option.

    • The motorhead attachment works fine on deep carpet & hard floors.
You're paying $42 for an extra soft roller cleaner for hard surfaces which you're gonna mop anyway.
      Get a good mop instead.

  • clearing out the stocks for the new V8…

    • The V8 is not replacing them, it is an addition to the Dyson cordless range.

  • trying to decide whether to buy this or the new V8. Any opinions?

      • V8 is about 40% stronger
      • V8 runs up to 40 mins depending on which head you use.
      • bigger canister
      • emptying is more efficient
      • 50% quieter

This price vs $849 when V8 comes out.

      • It is already out and available now.

        • Out on the Dyson website yes and slowly out on other stores website but official date to be in stores is September 1st. Whether stores have already displayed them or not is on them.
