If they are smart they will offer a small discount and still sell out of all their stock. I'm waiting with baited breath - although if Myer get it, then my giftcard and Myer One card will be handy!
With a 20% discount I would pre-order now for delivery before Christmas :-).
Has the Porsche been fixed? That first lot in June had the buggered gearing, among other small errors. Soured me on the set very quickly.

Here's what others have come up with…
How is their shipping? Does the box get damaged? Do I need to add the $3 tough box?
Standard shipping is commonly in the same boxes that Lego will ship multiple sets in and stuffed with brown paper.
I've never had an issue, although I can see the potential for minor damage if the boxes were treated roughly. Unless you are planning to keep it as an investment, I probably wouldn't bother.

Lucky son, I usually just buy the $20 boxes for my son, as they normally end up getting smashed to pieces a week later anyway.
Just finished this set. Have most of the flagship technics and this is by far the biggest and most epic. Not quite as technical as the crane but looks fantastic on display.

How does it compare with the 42030-1: Volvo L350F Wheel Loader?
My daughter is putting the 42042-1: Crawler Crane together at the moment.
Loader is not as big but still looks excellent. And is remote controlled so can battle the dozer and the digger to the death!

Best freeware ever? No doubt.
