  • Store credit if you click and collect?

    • Oh forgot about that! Added

      • is there a discount code for dryers as well?

        • No, but whirlpool dryers have $100 cashback on certain models.

  • I wasn't able to find stock in Sydney available for pickup ($50 store credit), delivery only (+$50)

    • I'm in WA, sorry didn't check other states.

  • Any good dryer deals?

    • +6

outside on the washing line - almost free

I have owned this machine for about a year now….. Best machine I've ever had!

    • Sounds good, why has it been so good? I've had generally good experience with Fisher & Paykel except recently a Fisher & Paykel dryer of mine died, and I'm in the market for a new washing machine. LG seems to be a good brand for washing machines too

      • Dany Boy : I also have an earlier model to this one. Almost 10 yrs old now and still working well.

Jesmond : Had similar experience with F&P dryer. Think it was the bearings that went, just out of warranty.

    • Have you washed woolens and were you happy w/ results?

Does it have pure cold wash? ie no use of hot water, no use of heater

    • Me too!

    • Hey
How do damp do the clothes come out? seem some people moaning that they are still damp due to the 1100 rpm…
The direct drive motors sound pretty quiet
GG seem to be still advertising this.

  • Any good choice for a top loader? We need to get one.

    • Maybe https://electroseconds.com.au/washing-machines/top-loader/lg…
$499 delivered and they can remove old washer for free.

      Or https://www.appliancesonline.com.au/55kg-top-load-simpson-wa…
      $465 delivered and connected

Not sure which toploaders are good though, as always bought front loaders.

      • Thanks. This is a good price for a front loader.
We have a F&P top loader for 10 years and it works well. We are moving home and need to get a new one as the existing one started make some noise.
Did some research and it seems a front loader can save some running cost but it usually cost more on the machine.

        • Maybe check this one, has 4 star water rating and 3 star energy. So pretty comparable with a front loader.
Also it is $652 after WASHER100 code, $100 cashback, and $25 giftcard code. Plus an extra $50 store credit for C&C

          https://www.thegoodguys.com.au/samsung-9kg-top-load-washer-w…

        • I used a top loader and a front loader. So regretted I switched to top loader. Washing time is shorter and perhaps washes a little larger load, but my washing is full of lint and my clothes thin out much quicker than a front loader.

        • +2

          @shalala:

I've never heard of anyone switching from front to top loader.

In 2016 Top loaders should be phased out like incandescent light bulbs.

  • OP, if you're getting this for your mum, your Father's Day present better beat this!

    • Well I was going to address it to my Dad… and include a pair of socks for Dad

  • Great price for a great machine, we paid around 1000 for this one.

    • I have 2 q's for you…

Have you washed woolens and were you happy w/ results?

Does it have pure cold wash? ie no use of hot water, no use of heater

      • +1

I have not washed any woolens.

Yea you just pick any program you want then adjust the temperature to cold. And it won't use the heater.

You can also connect direct hot water if you want to help the heating processes. Good if you got free hot water from solar.

We only have cold water connected and let the machine heat it up on hot washes.

It's very quiet too :) hope this helps

        • Thanks for confirming the hot water.
The 7.5kg model has pretty bad reviews: particularly on gentle wash and woolens.

decided to go the Bosch or maybe risk the Gorenje for now

  • I don't think there are any left in WA.

For anyone who can't find stock or want free delivery, you can get it from Appliances Online via ebay for $681 delivered after applying the 10% code (CAPOL10) and claiming the $100 cashback from F&P. Link

    • Dimsum2,
      That's worthy of a post!

    • Worth mentioning that they don't post outside of Melbourne and Sydney…

    • Wondering if the $100 cashback from F&P works with eBay purchase from Appliances ONline..? Can't find anything in the terms and conditions…

    • Confirmed with appliances online, offer is not available through their ebay store, only if you buy directly from appliancesonline.com.au

      • Thanks for confirming, curious to know how Fisher and Paykel can tell when you're submitting the claim as I'd assume the invoice would be the same?

Anyway I bought the WH7560P2 on eBay for $637 before cashrewards as our old washer died on Tuesday… didn't need the 8.5kg drum and added options and higher rpm looked good on paper!

        • I just went back and forth with Appliance online, they have no clue and said to check with F&P (they are closed today, so can't).

I've purchased from their eBay store, wish me luck!

        • @ShMiCk: Hey ScMick, did you end up getting a reply back from F&P? What did they say?

        • +1

@johnnyle12: I never checked with F&P, I just bought it and plan on claiming the cash back.

The T&Cs state that the cash back is for "participating retailers only", Appliance Online is a participating retailer (as per their website).

        • +1

@ShMiCk: I ended up checking with them (the promotions department) and she said it's ok as an FYI and peace of mind

        • @Earlgreytea: Sweet, thanks!

I'm literally submitting the rebate now! If any issues, I'll post here.

has anyone knows the duration of QUICK cycle of this washing machine ?
    thanks

  • i've had this washer for nearly a year. been very happy with it. very quiet, and love the 1 hour wash at 40C is pretty much all you need for standard office wear.

prob the only negative is the 1100RPM means the clothes are still pretty damp when they come out. Friend's have a Miele that does 1600 RPM and the clothes dry so much faster

  • Anyone had the same experience as me? Ordered this model online, order allocated to the local TGG store to process and they arranged to get new stock in. Two days later the local store told me the supplier has discontinued this model and replacing it for a new one which is pretty much the same specs except the model ends with 'J3' instead of 'J2', and I realised this disqualified it for the $100 cash back from Fisher&Paykel. So had to cancel this order…

    • Did the original invoice state the model number?

Oh never mind, just realised you need a serial number also

    • They are also out of stock in Perth now, so not sure what happened to those that ordered this.

    • If you are still after a front loader at a good saving try https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/264893

      • Cheers, will have a look

    • +2

The same happened with me, except they replaced it with the P2 for the same price (so another $100 saved), and it's still eligible.

Pretty stoked, especially considering it was my own stupid fault for not checking stock levels before ordering it.
