Nokia X6 $24/Month over 24 Months

61

Three are selling their Nokia X6 (Brand new - in box) on the 29 cap over 24months,

however they are offering $10 off your bill for first 12 months.

Total cost is 576 (australian dollar) over 24months = 24/month (average)

Quite a good phone, and one of the best, if not the best, mobile providers.

E72 is better, however who knows when they will bring it back?

  • And dont forget MBC!!!!

  • Wow that's really good. I was thinking of picking up the E72 this weekend from vodafone because they have $9.95 for 1gb a month too… makes my decision harder

Three is "one of the best, if not the best, mobile providers."

you got to be joking, I can't wait till my contract ends.

    • your right, i left three and never turning back. i was roaming wayy too much and costing me wayy to much. but if ur currently with 3 and ur loving it, go for it, but i wouldn't say their coverage is good.

  • E72 is end of life and no extra stock has been ordered according to the web chat i was in.

    • I read that on WP as well. However the comment was quickly quashed.

      Enjoy the bargain.

The only bad thing about this phone is its CPU ARM 400MHZ with 128MB RAM is too slow to handle these days applications.

    Quoted:
"Unfortunately, the underlying hardware is not powerful enough to make the best use of the increased responsiveness. While the improved sensitivity is visible in simple menus where the phone doesn't have a lot of calculations to make, in most cases it is simply nullified by the laggy software."

So be prepare so that you won't be disappointed with the laggy phone. Even though this phone use capacitive touch screen which increase responsiveness but the slow hardware kill it.

Maybe you should consider Samsung Omnia Icon also FREE on cap 29, which is with AMOLED screen, Windows Mobile, 256MB RAM and Samsung 800MHZ CPU with HW Graphic Accelerator (similar to iPhone 3GS CPU)

the omni has a removeable memory slot too. what was nokia thinking? playing music was its biggest point and they crippled it like apple does with the iphone and ipod touchs

      • exactly! X6 is one of the most slowest phones available in the market right now! Avoid at all cost, even 5800 is better at $19 cap

      • but Three version of Omnia Icon only comes with 2GB instead of 8GB built-in memory.

        • +1

          buy a memory card.

  • Also consider the Samsung Jet which is on the $29/m cap but you can get $100 off with 100SPEIAL or claim the 3 months free. Of course, MBC applies and get a friend to refer you (you have plenty of friends on OzBargain) for $25 off both your accounts.

Decent deal but Three is one of the worst mobile phone providers in Australia.

  • anyone know if the nokia x6 deal for a 12 month contract on the $49 cap is still on?

i saw it last week on one of the forums but I cant find it on their website anymore.

  • Just been stung with 3 in that I get charged for roaming charges and it seems that half of Canberra is a roaming zone :| Fortunately I caught it early and I forced 3 to refund the charges as they neglected to mention this charge as part of the terms and conditions for my plan (sim only).

For the love of God, DO NOT use 3.
    ಠ_ಠ

I've been with them for almost 8 years now (mostly due to peer pressure) and I finallly cancelled my account today. What a relieve!!!
I had used Optus and Vodafone, and none of them even come close to the craptastic service this company provided me.

These are some of my experience with 3:

    • Incessant signal drops just about anywhere (even in Sydney CBD, even when calling their own customer care service)
    • Extra charges will hit you out of nowhere because they never really clearly explain the conditions.
    • Outsourced customer care service that always beat around the bush when we address a problem. Conversations feel extremely scripted, you feel like you're talking to robots.
    • Inability to get the same customer care rep when your call suddenly dropped (this actually happens a lot), meaning you have to call them again, tell them your info again, and have to go through gruelling procedure of listening to them offering same bloody upgrade/service/etc. all over again.
    • Cancelling your service is a tedious procedure. Expect to repeat yourself a lot.

I actually can't recall any good experience with 3.

    • If you say 3 Customer Care is crap then Optus Prepaid Customer Service is the worst of the worst.

      • 3Care is outsourced to India but they DO provide proper training and their staff have a good knowledge of their product and helpful.
      • Optus is the complete opposite, they also outsource Optus Prepaid Customer Service to India but DID NOT give them a proper training, their staff has NO clue about the product Optus is offering and a bunch of idiots only know how to read out from the script that they were provided.
