    My order for a Grey 3GB/32GB B bundle with case and tempered glass (not a Special Edition as this deal) from last Friday 2/9 is still "Payment Confirmed (Processing)".

    Paid extra for DHL but reading the page again I take it "Shipping: in 2-7 business days" means shipping from their end – not an optimistic prediction of when it will arrive if I do pay more for DHL like I’d naively hoped!. It wont be till next Tuesday 13/9 that they've broken their promise if it hasn’t changed to "Shipped"…..

    Guess I'm too used to being pleasantly surprised at how quickly my orders from AliExpress have been dispatched - especially if I pay extra for DHL.

    I have this phone (3+32GB Silvery $169.99USD) and it is brilliant. Came with play store installed. Very fast. I get 4G+ with Optus (2-4mbs download speeds) in metro areas. Camera is great quality too with nice filter functions. Finger print scanner is sound. xiamoi provide regular updates for its user interface. I Added a 64gb micro SD card, just had to format it to FAT32 (max files 4GB each) to be read by the phone.

    Most of the limitations you may read comments on are insignificant for the price you pay and the quality you get.

    Just get one, you won't regret.

        I bought one here knowing that this is the newer global version with an additional band 28 which will have access to Telstra 4gx network.
        I am currently using a global version without band 28 and I am very happy with my upload and download speed.
        With the additional band 28, I am sure the speed will be much better than my current one.

        Buuuut dedicated covers and screen protectors dont seem to exist for this "Special edition" with B28 at 152mm high

        In a comment in a previous deal clear says that GB have tested the Gel cases and they fit. Was no mention of if the glass/screen protectors worked.

        I wasnt prepared to risk it, B28 didnt seem that crucial for me and just went with the standard version (that still hasn't shipped a week later though clear is following up for me…)

        Sooo confusing all the options and naming conventions for this phone

          I considered ordering case and glass separately from AliExpress or eBay where you can get them for $1-2 or so with free delivery but was concerned they'd arrive much later than the phone that I paid be express delivered by DHL…..

          Since it's taking so long to even get out of the "processing" stage maybe I should have just saved the $12 or so extra I paid to have them bundled and ordered separately

    I thought it was the best phone for its price until just two days ago. My Redmi Note 3 Pro flatout just stopped recharging, the battery drained and I haven't been able to charge it or turn it back on since then.

    I've tried many things to troubleshoot it, at this point I have a feeling it's the battery that has died or the micro USB port. It had only been around 2 months since I got it too.

    The best thing I can do now seems to be pay up 100$+ to get it diagnosed and fixed, most repair booths don't have Xiao Mi parts as well so it may be higher. Since I bought it online there isn't any local service centre that warranty falls under. Also rooting it had voided whatever warranty I had (seller statement).

    Just beware what you're buying, a heavy user that charges every night all night like me won't be able to last that long compared to other phones. Also it takes super long to recharge.

      Send it back under warranty PayPal page for return shipping if you bought using PayPal. Who you buy from ? Just install Xiaomi official rom and unroot, it's hardware fault not software.

      I even went into my local shopping centre, and went to the mobile repair/phone case stalls they have but they don't carry any at all.

      If I had known this was that rare, I probably would've opted with the non B28 version :(

      Unfortunately no Australian seller selling this but surprisingly the case arrived earlier than the estimated time. I bought it on Aug 31 and got it today, to Melbourne CBD (estimated delivery Sep 19-30). As you can see from the photos there are wide holes for the top (headphone jack & mic) and bottom (USB & mic) instead of individual small holes for each of those, plus a big hole for the infrared. So when stretched to fit the phone, they don't get covered as well as the speaker grills at the back which is taller than the standard RN3.

      Personally I have been getting this style of cases (the grips on the sides are good for handling) and finding it manages to fit on the taller RN3 SE pleases me. Also, after trying out ways to put on the case, I found putting the phone into the case from the left/right first is better than going top/bottom. This makes the case able to properly wrap around the sides of the phone's front and still able to protect the screen if it lands face down.

      Other cases I have tried and found unfit are the slim ones (generic and this Invisium brand by an Aussie ebay seller), those Chinese shock proof ones (with bulging corners but unfortunately smaller holes), and this surprisingly genuine Xiaomi TPU case (called skidproof case) by another Aussie ebay seller.

    Quick question, does GeekBuying tamper with the ROM at all? I had a bad experience purchasing a Lenovo K3 Note through GearBest, who seemingly loaded it with malware. I had to go through the hassle of flashing a custom ROM. I'm really hoping I won't have to do that for the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Pro that I purchased through GeekBuying, so that I can start using it right away.

      Some phones will have Google Play installed and Global ROMs from mi.com are often used for Xiaomi.

      No one has reported any 3rd party ROMs on this phone.

        I have received the phone on Tuesday 13/09/2016 before lunch time.
        I ordered this one for a friend and I have bought 2 others of non band28 for my family.
        This Redmi Note 3 is excellent for under AUD$250.
        I am currently using the older non Band28 version and it has been fantastic.
        The operating system is easy to use, just make sure you get the official ROM for international users with OTA updates.
        The battery can last me 2+ more days and the download and upload speed is also very good for a non band28.
        Very well built. Pay extra for DHL or TNT if you are unwilling to wait upto 3 weeks for delivery from China/HK.
        The cheapest I have seen them on sale was USD$170 plus shipping.
        I might get another one if there is another price drop :)

    I ordered one of these on the 12th Sept, even though the site said that international orders are processed in 1-2 days it’s taken until today, 22nd Sept, for them to get their act together and ship the phone. Then they ignore my additional payment for DHL freight and send it by Airmail so I have another 15-30 business days to wait. Incredible.

      I placed an order on Sunday for the 3GB/32GB non-band 28 version, I wonder if they'll do the same for mine… paid for DHL too. Still in processing. Not only that, but the page for that particular one now shows "preorder/presale"… yet when I paid it said they had stock in "HK Warehouse". They better have stock for my order because there's no way in hell I'm waiting "19 days" for it to ship, then potentially getting it sent by airmail too.

      Kind of regretting my order now… good aliexpress sellers are more reliable

    How do you check to confirm that you have kate version?
    I thought Kate was suppuse to come with MIUI 8 mines 7.5.2.0
