Kernel OST TO PST for Home Converter AUD $114 (US $99 Less 20%) MS Exchange

If you are working in an office which is running MS exchange and you can't save your emails as as PST, and you want to copy your emails you will need an OST to PST Converter. Unfortunately I havent found any free versions of software to do this.

Some system administrators lock down Microsoft Outlook so you can't "save as PST", luckily Outlook saves a cached OST file on your local drive.

Kernel OST to PST software converts OST files to PST in a number of ways eg splits file size of PST, selectable folder etc. I tested it on a 15Gb OST file using the demo version (25 entries per fold) and it correctly saved my PST which opened in Outlook.

There are 2 versions of the software: home, corporate. The differences are shown here http://www.nucleustechnologies.com/buy-ost-pst-recovery.php

I have a 20% off code (nul20ost) for the home version US$99 - 20% = US$79.20 or around AUD$114

Hint: If you want 30% off corporate license, click "Chat" on their website and haggle with the support agent, he can then generate a customised 30% off coupon.

https://secure.avangate.com/order/cart.php?PRODS=4533402&QTY… - is a link for 25% off the corporate version US$199 less 25% = US$149.25 or around AUD$164

In terms of a free tool, I've had success with readpst in the past but having said that, this software seems to be more mature.

  • thanks for the info on the free version as I have been hunting to find the right software for ages. This paid version of Kernel OST to PST was so quick at converting a folder for a 15Gb file - I was impressed.

Have you tried renaming the Ost to pst? :)

    • OST is a cache and needs to be opened from Outlook with the right account on that instance of Outlook. PST is portable to be used on any Outlook on any PC.

  • Nice! I wish I knew about this one when I quit my old job. I couldn't figure out how to do it and ended up going through and "saving as msg" all the important files. Would have preferred to keep them in a PST.

  • err.. you know you can just create a new PST file on your PC and Copy the emails and content to this right? or create a rule to do the same? Why would you need to have a separate app to do this?

Why do you bother commenting on something you have no idea about? The creation of a PST file is controlled by group policy as is the caching (OST). It's clearly stated that this tool can be used if you cannot create a PST file.
