let me be the first to say, FULLY SICK. ^_~

    • For a hometheatre subwoofer ? Huh ?

      • hay doof doof is doof doof….. ok bro? LOL

  • LOL! well said ;)

  • Have to say that after hearing numerous Sony home-theatre subwoofers, I think they are absolute garbage. All they do is rumble, they have no acoustic merit whatsoever. Maybe they were set up wrong, installed wrong, used in the wrong setting, I don't know but the three people I know who bought Sony subs rarely use them. They make the entire room shake without actually making any sound. They seem to be made to just vibrate instead of outputting sound. More like rumble-packs than speakers.

I might get flamed for this, but it's my real-world experience with Sony subwoofers. Their other speakers seem fine, but I would never touch the subs. I was given one by a friend who was less than impressed with the one he just bought, I tried it for three days and hated it so gave it to somebody else who has now given it to somebody else, who will probably try to give it back to me soon (but I'll refuse the offer). I even went to the trouble of hooking up a signal generator just to make sure my amplifier wasn't broken. With the signal generator my cheapie car subwoofer hooked up to a standard amplifier sounded much better and I can play down to 10Hz if need be, but this was impossible with the Sony subwoofer, which just rumbled all the time without changing pitch. Horrible!!

    • Fair comments, and a decent explanation for a neg!

My comment regarding the use of a sub is that placement is important, you can't just stick it in the corner of the room and expect it to sound the same as the middle of the room.

In most cases a corner will give muddy yucky boom bass that lacks punch.

Unless the sub is crap, then you are free to place it anywhere!

  • Hi Folks!

Here's some reviews if anyone is actually interested in purchasing one of these bargain units.

These reviews seem to be honest from what I can tell.
If anyone needs any handy tips on sub placement/setup in their room I would be more than happy to give some expert tips.

    Cheers
