Orbitz 15% off Hotel Bookings

240
TRIPLOVE

While I was searching for better rates than the CheapTickets 18% off sale (which should expire 2:59PM Monday) I found this 15% off code. You can stack it on top of Topcashback's rate of 2% too (it's listed as coupon on their site). This expires 2:59PM of the 26th.

Terms & Conditions:

Subject to the restrictions set out in these terms and conditions, the 15% promotion code may be applied to a qualifying stand-alone hotel (not a hotel booking in combination with any other product such as flight + hotel, or flight +hotel + car) booked online with orbitz.com between August 29, 2016 12:01AM CT and September 25, 2016 11:59PM CT, for 1 or more nights for travel between August 29, 2016, and December 31, 2016. Qualifying bookings instantly receive 15% off at check-out through the use of the promotion code. Limit one discount per hotel room and one promotion code per itinerary. Exclusions may apply and most major hotel chains are excluded. The promotion code cannot be redeemed against taxes, supplier fees, cancellation or change fees/penalties, administrative fees or other miscellaneous charges, which are the sole responsibility of the customer. Discounts are not redeemable for cash for any reason. Promotion codes are non-transferable, not for resale, and cannot be combined with other offers or used for any booking previously made. Any attempt at fraud will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. Void where prohibited, taxed or restricted by law. Orbitz reserves the right to change or limit the promotion in its sole discretion. Usual booking terms and conditions apply (see https://www.orbitz.com/p/info-other/legal.htm) and all bookings are subject to availability.

Previous 15% off has expired.

  • Any offer for January hotels anywhere?

    • Too early, coupons for Jan+ should start rolling in some time October.

    Topcashback is only 2%

    • cheers, amended.

  • I could be interpreting it wrong, but I think this would fall under merchant hotel with promo code which only gives 2%. Probably best to check with CheapTickets to see what gives the better price, keeping in mind that you will also earn reward credits using Orbitz (and apply any credit you may already have as well).

Note for those who prefer Cashrewards, may possibly give 1.6% cashback using Orbitz, the caveat being that this promo code is not listed on the Cashrewards website.

Edit: Well and truly beaten. That's what you get for trying to do two things at once! :P

yeah should be 2%. cheaptickets will be better in that case because they're exactly the same price without discount on orbitz. wonder what time the cheaptickets coupon expires this morning though.

      edit: cheaptickets expires 2:59PM :)

I just checked, but it should be 11:59PM CT, which I think works out to be 2:59PM AEST

Edit: Beaten again! I should just go to bed…! :P

When I look for a hotel the prices look good, I go to 'reserve' to see if I can enter the coupon, this shows the same pricing and total but says its in US dollars. On the search results it doesn't state its US dollars so you assume its cheap.

There is no option to change it to Aussie dollars or do I have to sign up to this site to be able to get aussie pricing?

    • No, Orbitz charges in USD. You have to do the math to make sure that you're getting a good deal. Try www.xe.com for current conversion rates. Using a 28 Degrees Mastercard (or any other similar no foreign-exchange fee credit card) would be recommended too.

  • till end of the year?????? blah

Note: "selected hotels"… did not work for a couple of hotels I have tried to book.

    EVERYTHING IS IN USD. FFS

  • Just as an update, I made a booking via TopCashback and just found out that my cashback has been denied. I've lodged a claim with them to see if they might be able to look into it for me, but I'm not holding my breath.

Decided to give them a go, but to be honest, it hasn't been worth the effort for an extra 0.5% over Cashrewards
