Yes! Been waiting for one of these, saved me $40 thanks OP

    • I can't remember the last time when Cheap Tickets didn't have an 18% off voucher, except maybe when it was 20% off back in April. Before this, the previous code was LABORDAY, and BIRTHDAYCAKE before that. And BEACHSIDE, and ESCAPE, and HOTSTUFF18…

Also good to compare with Venere's occasional 15% off codes. Venere sometimes has cheaper daily deals for specific hotels, or sometimes that 3% difference is made up by the exchange rate.

      • Yeh but none have been for 2017. I have an existing booking for Jan 2017 that I can now cancel free and rebook using this voucher.
        Win!

      • Also good to compare with Venere's occasional 15% off codes.

Is there a current one atm? I've never heard of these guys until you just mentioned them. Also, any cash back?

        • I think the last one just ended on Monday. They usually send out a new code every second week or so, and you get about a three-day window to use it. You might have to sign up to their newsletter for it, though, since the emails I get usually insist on having to click through the emails to apply the code… which I guess cancels out any cashback for the same reason.

You used to get 15% off just for using the Venere app, but they got rid of that a couple months ago. :(

        • @monkeymuffins:

You used to get 15% off just for using the Venere app, but they got rid of that a couple months ago. :(

i found MOBVAW9 15% off for the app

also AFFQ312SE2 12% off for desktop

seems like 10% cashback on topcashback too but they're not listed. not sure if it'll work on TCB then.

  • I am overseas and I keep getting error messages at the payment step. Same thing happens to few other sites as well (orbitz etc). Has anyone else experienced this?

For those who are not already aware, Ebates will also give 1.25% rebate. And you get a $USD 10 welcome bonus.
The Ebate rebate is in $USD and so it is better to have a verified paypal account (linked to the same email address that you used) to have it paid into rather than them sending a cheque.
To help your mates, join ebates using referral link. https://www.ozbargain.com.au/wiki/ebates_referral_links (For benefit to the referrer you need to sign up by 30/9/16 and spend $USD 25 within 1 year.)
Using Ebates, and 18% off discount code, and Citibank plus payment, usually best price for hotels of interest to me.

    • Will the 1.25% rebate into our EBates account or into credit card account?

      • They will send you a cheque every 3 months, or credit your 'Verified' Paypal account.

    • RebateGiant have 2% with $5 sign up bonus but with a $25 minimum cash out (not including bonuses). Don't think they have good reviews though.

    • I have both 28degrees and citibank plus. Do you think it's better to use citibank plus?

why there are some of the hotels can not use the code? there is no place to put the promosion code in.

    e.g. https://www.cheaptickets.com/Gold-Coast-Hotels-Allisee-Apart…

any idea how to use this special code?

    • +1

I couldn't get it either for Allisee. Yes some hotels are excluded. Try another property.
Also note when you get pop up options:- PAY NOW /PAY LATER.
When I did PAY NOW there was a place for the code.
When I did PAY LATER there was then NO place for the code.
Therefore, I would say that, when given this option, you need to opt for PAY NOW.

      • yeah, thanks. but for Allisee, there is no option to select pay now/pay later, so it is not include in the sale then :(

  • where do you apply the code?

    • +1

      Payment page.

      • Sorry, your hotel isn't covered by this coupon offer.

  • FML This week, save 18% off "select" hotel deals with the use of promo code HAPPY18

    Book by September 18, 2016 11:59PM CT

which should be September 19, 2016 2:59PM EST for us

    • Done, thank you .. :-) .. !!

  • Is there an easy way to check which hotel(s) the coupon will work with?

  • Anybody used cheaptickets before? Decent booking website? Thanks.

    • +2

Yeah, they're owned by the Expedia mob, so pretty reputable. Used them a few times, just be aware they charge in USD and from memory, they slap on some taxes too, so check all that before confirming!

      • +1

        Awesome news thank you montorola!

    • +3

Used them many times. And also cancelled lots of bookings (The real test) and NEVER any problems.

      • Exchange rate might be different if you are converting back to AUD when getting refund.

        • Yes that is very true. Could be a small win or small lose proposition. But still much better than non-refundable bookings :)

  • Maybe I missed a setting or maybe it depends on country, but was disappointing to see the price go up by 10% after clicking "reserve" due to "taxes and fees".

They could have shown that when searching as I feel like I wasted a lot of time comparing prices when their price was not actually the final price. The discount code does not apply to the tax portion either. Just FYI.

    • The discount code does not apply to the tax portion either.

The discount code does apply to the tax portion for hotels in Australia. I have not tried overseas hotels though so perhaps that is the case.

  • Just booked accomodation for Vietnam in December, saved me a couple hundred dollars. Thanks!

  • For those who have not yet subscribed to Cheaptickets, they do have some 'SECRET DEALS' that can only be viewed by logging in, and then searching by destination. How good, or how 'secret' I am not sure.

I think this is similar to expedia. Waste of time.

      • Oh yep. And the 50% deals that Hotels.com keeps hitting my in box with too. But if people are searching CHEAPTICKETS then they should be logged in just in case.

  • Note, selected hotels… have not been able to use it on a couple of places.
