I've been waiting for this to go on sale and now Lenovo has this on special for $999, $300 off down from $1299.

Thinkpad 13 is a newer model and never been on sale before, apart from using the 10% off welcome coupon code but that's not cashrewards-friendly. This is a very good budget Thinkpad, with the best keyboard even better than their T and X series.

Note that the M.2 slot only accepts SATA SSD. There are 2 DIMM slots so you can easily buy another 8GB stick to make it 16GB dual channel.

  • Bought one for me wife, hopefully CR tracks it.

  • +1

just talked to a rep and confirmed that they don't do 14 days free return anymore

    • Wow and I thought Lenovo might be improving…

Looks like their website is now out of date:

      http://shopap.lenovo.com/au/en/shopping_faq/why_buy_online/

"RISK-FREE PRODUCT RETURNS: Try our products risk-free for 14 days. If for any reason you are not happy with your purchase, return your product for a full refund, within 14 days of receiving your order."

      • yeh i had this page on yesterday when i was speaking with the rep and apparently they have another return policy for online sales product blahblah, i can't afford to mess around with this so i backed off. if you click the 'learn more' option in the link you provide it goes to nowhere
