No stock - says on BACKORDER! (On mobile site at least)

A few deals lately at about this low price.

The code GBMI2 has been listed with a stack of other discount codes at https://www.ozbargain.com.au/deals/gearbest.com bringing price down to us$29.59 😯 (code didn't work for me with this deal)

Other Xiaomi Mi Band deals (no oled display)
    2015 version Xiaomi Mi Band 2 us$12.58

Xiaomi Mi Band 1S Pulse us$12.59. (Almost gone since I checked last night.)

I didn't buy, given past experience with GB.

    • Tells me there is 891 left, until I added it to my cart and it came up with backorder.

And you wonder why GB has a poor reputation…

Great price. A word of advice: once you've set it up, be very careful unpairing it or updating software. I reinstalled Android and now it's impossible to pair the device with my phone, I think I'll have to return it :(

(If anyone has any advice I'd be glad to hear it)

    • My understanding of true BT 4.0 (smart) stuff is it doesn't even need pairing.
Which Android device you got? I had some major BT 4.0 issues on my S3 and Note 2, depending on the firmware - but later phones BT4 should work surprisingly simply and reliably, it's basically proximity based.

      • Nexus 5, on Android 6.0 or 7.0 (going back and forth trying to make this thing work).

I think that's right, it doesn't need full pairing. The closest I've gotten it to working is if I go to my 6.0 backup, the app will even detect the band and the band will vibrate, but when I tap the band to confirm the app doesn't react, and it gives me a 'pairing failed' message.

        • wasn't there a note on the app regarding issues with 6.0 and above a few months ago? not sure if it's been addressed as of yet?
i'll try and track down where i read it from

  • How does the (optical) heart rate stuff work? I know one of the newer model fitbits use a similar optiical heart rate technology but I don't know about the reliabiity of just how good this stuff is
Like accuracy, is it "ok" or is it genuinely quite good? what about working through DRIPPING sweat? Is it 90% accurate or like really damn good?
    (I'm pedantic)

I've got a heart rate chest strap for the gym and I'm like the 1/20 person who sweats profusely, like I sweat like I'm 200KG (I'm chubby at best)
The strap system works quite well to be honest, I'm (pretty) confident it's quite accurate.

    Anyone know

From personal experience (fitbit charge HR) its about 90%+ accurate. Any sudden bursts in heart rate, and it will fail, and sometimes it just fails. Its good for an average and for some sports.

      I still appreciated it though.

      • For some reason, that's what I expected as an answer, thanks :/

It sounds like it's good for an overall, entire day average within 90% but for a workout and 20 to 90 minutes of extreme accuracy a strap may be superior.

TBH I'm impressed the tech works at all.

      My previous review.

TL;DR - fairly accurate, but I wouldn't compare this to a chest strap. Also, you have to stand still arm in front of you for it to get a reading. Also works ~50%.

      • So real bad for the treadmill / running etc

  • What is sizing like? Fit 13yo arms?

    • The band can go to a very tiny size, you should be fine but there's always replacement bands you can get for $3-10 pretty easily.

  • Bought one for a few dollars more two weeks ago.

Man, the battery on this thing is good. Used like 18% for a full week's use.

    • You must get a lot of notifications then, mine's at ~50% after 8-10 days.

      • As in used 18% after a full week.

  • Maybe Gearbest should send out what it still owes the good people of OzBargain first. Buyer beware.
