Can't wait to see Graham's cheeky smile in person when he gets those masculine rugged hands of his deep in some dirt. What a hunk. Reow. I shouldn't be this aroused at 1:00AM in the morning.
    Thanks OP.

  • +2

Who is paying whom when it's not free?
Do they pay people to play crowd?
Or people pay them to be a crowd?

  • Thanks so much

  • Cheers :)

  • Thanks op

  • does it matter whos name it is on the ticket? would like to pick some up for my parents

    • +1

No it doesn't. Noone checks names at these events. I never give them my real name/email/phone anyway.

  • Thanks for that. Will also try to apply Viola on the day, please don't tell the Missus!

  • Thanks op just got 2

Went there two years ago and was a waste of time going.

    • Couldn't agree more.

  • I always hated this show, as the boofheads at 7 used to delay Friday night footy to accommodate this baby boomer garbage.

  • Where is the code for free tickets ?

  • i got 2 tickets and they are both under the same name…is that ok? thanks guys

No email. I printed it off straight away to avoid potential disappoitnment

    • I got a confirmation email straight away, check SPAM folder?

      • Just remembered that I provided a random email so unless someone's name is [email protected] noone would have received the confirmation.

  • +1

Bunnings was giving them away about a month ago, you just had to ask the greeter at the shop and you could use them for Sydney or Melbourne on any day, say it on ozbargain (chuckle). Maybe they might still have some the guy at Artarmon had heaps back then, might be worth a try if the code won't work. Cheers.

    • lol it was established that was a 'mistake' They weren't supposed to give anything away and it didn't apply to any stores other than Artarmon

  • Still working for SYD 17th

  • +1

I just tried it and the code still works

    • Can confirm, code is still active.
Still able to get tickets for Saturday @Sydney

  • I don't know why it's marked expired?? OP probably realised they shouldn't have posted it?

  • I just tried it to get some free tickets for Melbourne and it worked. They will let me in right ? I don't want to go there and being refuse entry. :)

    • +1

just print the ticket. You won't get refused. The monkeys at the door are only interested in scanning tickets, nothing else.

      • Monkeys lol…

  • Melbourne ticket still work.

  • Code is probably for pet show participants. I might go sunday by then the code would have been thoroughly tested.

  • Just got 2 tickets for Sydney, thanks OP

  • Not expired - still working.

  • Thanks OP :) Just got 2 tics for Sunday in Sydney.

  • +2

I hope Karen Martini is there with her puppies

  • Thanks OP

Hey ozbargainers maybe put a sticker on your arm so we can all wave as we go past!

    • +2

Even better, write "JV" on your arm and all ozbargainers will know what that means.

  • Is thing worth going to?! - What's good to see?

  • +3

Just checked out the site and I'd say not worth going - unless you're after gardening/house stuff tips that you can't get at Bunnings. Product showcase is what these events are. Workshops back when we went were free - but you need to line up for 1-1.5hrs to get a ticket on the day. This year similar workshops are not included in the ticket you to get the entry tix then $20 per workshop.

  • Thanks OP!

  • Thanks OP.. got 2 tix to the melb show

  • Thanks!

  • Forecast rain for Sunday.. Fook dat

Went after the Davis cup tennis game in Olympic Park , got a free sausage sizzle (donated to charity), a yoghurt and three tote bags.

In and out in 25 minutes.

Edit: code worked as of 4pm. Registered outside the door on the phone, and showed them my confirmation email for entry.

bit glum in syd today, think ill pass!

  • I got a couple and went down on Saturday. There seemed to be fewer exhibitors than a few years ago. I did not find the guy who sold seedlings/cuttings of various species in tubes nor did I find anyone selling habanero or bird's eye chili seedlings. I did purchase a number of orchid divisions for cheap though so that makes up for it.

Free is great as otherwise I would not pay the $18 or so per person to enter.

  • bought 2 tickets. thanks

  • BHGCOMP is now working!

  • Anyone attended the show at Melbourne over the weekend? Did anyone notice a device that can open your garage door using your smartphone? The stall selling it was near the entrance beside the Door Gift competition area. May I know the name of the brand or company if you know. Thanks.
