    Might be worth mentioning that you have to either be a current or ex-CBA Group employee - or you have to have a family member who does work for CBA or has worked for CBA.

    CBHS is a good fund, but not open to all people.

    What does CBHS stand for?

    • Commonwealth Bank Health Society was it's original name.

      CBHS is no longer owned, operated or even supported by CBA.

      There was a time where CBA subsidised it's employees to be members. Unless you've been working 20 years plus at CBA and are still there, you are no longer subsidised.

        Even those who've worked for CBA for 20+ years aren't subsidized, they're just the ones who remember a time when it was!

        • Not true.

          As long as you are still on award, not a contract, you can still be subsidised.

          The number of employees in that category would be small but there would be a few - most likely in branch land or in processing centres…

          @GreatWhiteHunter: hardly worth staying on award for!

          @Nevski123:

          LOL can't argue with that, but I am pretty sure there are still Award employees out there…

          Been a few years out for me, but there were some around when I was last there…

          If you were on a subsidy and then went to a contract you got robbed because they actually charged you FBT for the subsidy, and you ended up paying more out of pocket than if you didnt have a subsidy at all…

          Moral of the story - if you were subsidised and switched from Award, ask to have the subsidy discontinued - otherwise you are actually worse off…

          SOme employees who got a lot of overtime really liked to stay on Award, because you got more money + meal allowance etc
