Bought these in the last deal you posted (used your referral code too)- excellent IEMs for the price. Thanks for the recommendation!

Thanks - and they are good aren't they. No referral points on this deal, so just helping my fellow ozbargainers.

How do these hold up against Xiaomi hybrids?

  • The last two pairs of Brainwavz I have bought (M5 & Jive) fell apart after a few weeks use. They replaced the jives but the replacements also shat themselves after a fortnight. I usually get at least 18 months out of other brands.

I love the sound of these but the build quality really lets them down.

    • I agree, last time there was a deal on M5s I bought them as well. After a week of very light usage (train to and from uni), the right earphone came apart exposing the wires inside the casing etc.

Note: I take very good care of my earphones so I think it was due to it not being glued on properly, so re-applied glue and it worked nicely.

Apart from the small issue with build quality, great value. Came with comply earbud tips and a carry case. Would recommend

  • How do these compare to the Brainwave Beta? I still have a pair from the 3 pack deals a couple years back and love them

  • Better - I'd classify these as beta beaters

  • Can anyone comment on the quality of the sound, as well as the Bass? I have the Piston 3's and they are fine but not as Bass driven as the Mee's I used to have which were excellent.

I got these a little while ago. Compared to the dual drive Pistons and a pair of MEE's (forgot number now) they were my worst, especially for bass.
