There is no brand for this.
      but,
I believe for any brand with similar specifications will cost at least $40 and above.
comes with chipset: Ralink technology RT3072, 2T2R mode
and we have tested it on our own :)

we had a good one for 150Mbps, 1T1R

A good thing you asked… I thought it was a TP-link adapter when I looked at the picture.

TPLink 150Mb was good, a lot better than my Billion 3011n that doesn't work!
    Tempted to buy this too…

    • yea, 300/300 is way much better compared to 150/150

You ll be pretty amazed with the 2T2R mode speed :)

  • Does anybody know if this works with the WD TV Live media player?

    • Yes, it works on WD TV LIVE.
      http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/24908

Some buyer bought and used the 150Mbps on their WD media players
They are both same in Chipset Technology.

Just that this one is 300/300, perfect transfer rate!

      Cheers

I bought one of these for my WD TV Live. I have received it today but have not yet tried it, but I have a suspicion that it will NOT work with the WD TV Live.

This review < http://www.amazon.com/review/R22EFOLMVG96KP/ref=cm_cr_pr_vieā€¦ > says the WLI-UC-G300N-V1 does not work and this site < http://www.wikidevi.com/wiki/Buffalo_WLI-UC-G300N-V1 > indicates the WLI-UC-G300N-V1 uses the Ralink RT3072 chipset - the same as the device for sale here.

I will report back tonight to confirm whether or not it works. Hope I can get a refund if it does not work as I only bought it based on this comment.

        • Well looks like it works! With version 1.02.21 of the firmware.

          • @ndc: Ha, that's good.

            Thanks for your information! :)

            • @GoodBargain: Just installed this on a WinXP machine and the driver used is the rt2870.sys. So I think this adapter actually doesn't use the RT3072 chipset but the RT2870 chipset which supports both 2.4GHz and 5GHz wireless networks.

              • @ndc: Is that good or bad? ;-)

                • @pepitovfr: I stand corrected. It is the RT3072 chipset, I opened the stick up and the chipset has RT3072 written on it.

  • Great… I bought the exact same thing for $59.

You mean you got the same speed adaptor or one with the same chipset. How could you buy exactly the same thing mr 6 hour old member when you dont even know what the exact brand and model is.

      • +1

It is 300/300, RT3072 chipset, and it looks the same as that picture. I decided to register just to release my stress of having been ripped off. Is that so hard to understand or are pizzas your only area of knowledge?

        • LOL.

        • Just so everyone knows, you won't get what is shown in the picture if you buy it.

          • @Lenneth: What does it look like?

            • @pepitovfr: I don't know but it wont be whats shown according to the seller.

              • @Lenneth: Hi Lenneth,

it will look exactly what's shown on the picture :)

                Cheers

            • @pepitovfr: It looks exactly the same ^^

  • good 1… thanks
