  • Man your quick! :)

    • +2

I go excited when I noticed these prices :)

    • +6

      *you're

  • Very good deal for those who live in NSW.

    • +2

Yeah I officially request Bing lee to expand to other states

      • +2

Can you ask them to at least allow deleivery to other states? I wouldn't mind to pay some freight charge.

        • +2

If we all contact bing lee via facebook it might get them thinking

        • @TRENT86: Change.org petition?

  • That $1999 is a great price for an OLED TV!
    Is this a previous generation?

    • +3

It's FHD and curved, which may not be everyone's cup of tea. I believe its technically a 2015 model, though still in the current LG lineup. It's a phenomenal TV though and well and truly the cheapest way to get into OLED. Unfortunately just picked one up last night from the Good Guys 15% off sale for $2375 (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻

    • +3

LG 55EC930T is the old model, this is after that, wish i was living in Sydney :'(

  • Too bad their eBay store has pick up only for TVs. Their actual online store charges $40 for delivery and I'd happily pay that for some of these TV prices.

    • Yeah, that is pretty poor

    • +1

You can normally call up and arrange to have it delivered. They take your CC over the phone. This also worked on ebay promos that were listed specifically as "click and collect" to obtain the discount in the first place.

      • +1

just called from Melbourne CBD and was told NO :(

      • +2

Just called up and was told they couldn't do it.

        • That seems crazy heh. Try again but this time explain that you will arrange all freight.

        • Thanks for trying, that sucks.

I'd love to snap up a 9300D at that price.

  • Just be aware that the Breville BES920 doesn't look like it has the SmartGrinder included.

    • +1

At this price? I'm pretty sure it would be way below cost if they were to offer that.

    • Lol.

  • +5

As someone who already has a terrific grinder, hot damn at that BES920 price. Might put my cricket bat order on hold and grab this instead…

    • +4

You'd better be quick to avoid a run out.
This is CUT20 not a test, grinder will not score.

      • +4

        Grinder lets everybody score!

        • Underrated post

  • even good guys are having same price before discount, may be we just need to wait for it

  • Any noticeable difference between the kd55x8500d vs kd55x9300d? I can't really find anything online.

    • +1

Main difference is the 9300 has 'Pro' implementation of Sony's HDR processor (provides better contrast from the reviews I've read) and local dimming.

      • Interesting. Thanks heaps for that! I wonder if I should shell out the few extra hundred dollars cash. I guess I should go check them out in store first.

        • I'm just going to wait a little longer.

        • @captain smash: Probably the smart thing to do, but I'm impulsive :P

        • +2

@captain smash: Just remember dude this is coinsiding with Jbhifi price drops which ends 25th (The are price matching them), once that ends prices will most likely go back up. No often a product is already 15% off during a 20% off ebay sale, esp a TV :)

        • @captain smash:

I really don't think you'll be getting a much better deal anytime soon, unless you wait until the TV is being run out for newer models.

I'd grab a 9300D if they delivered, sucks they don't and I don't understand why.

        • @TRENT86: Yeah these are amazing deals but I can't pickup from Bing Lee as I live in VIC :(

        • @TRENT86:

God damn, you're right and now the 9300 deal has ended. NOOOO

        • @captain smash: Yeah sony prices are now back up :(

      Found this article.

      http://www.goodgearguide.com.au/article/598524/which-flagshi…

      and this

      http://ausdroid.net/2016/04/28/sonys-next-generation-android…

Mainly these two features that are only on the x9300d.

      • X-tended Dynamic Range PRO to produce ideal contrast, enhancing HDR and non-HDR content by boosting and dimming the backlight levels precisely for each zone of the screen with unique backlighting algorithm.

      • New Slim Backlight Drive technology, which uses a unique grid array local dimming backlighting structure to distribute the backlight source more precisely to each specific zone of the screen while maintaining a slim display. (X930D only, the X940D is built in with slim full-array direct backlit LED.)

      Also the 930d seems heavier.

      • Thanks heaps! I went ahead and pulled the trigger on the 9300D.

I got the Breville dual boiler at $719. What an awesome deal!
Luckily I could still cancel an eBay order I made yesterday using the Code 15.

    • Dead set bargain.

    • I got it for $700 a few months ago. It's freakin awesome.

  • Check out the Sony KD55X9000C also great price be quick 10 available

bugger, in store pick up only for the TVs.

    • -1

      can be delivered

      • no it cant (well maybe if you live near a store)
There is no delivery option offered at all, pick up only.
        (i didnt neg you btw)

        • Are you saying the kd55x8500d cant be delivered or another one ?

        • +1

          @ABUKEE:

None of the TVs have delivery.

        • @Kleetus: could be location issue because my one definitely had delivery available

        • @ABUKEE:

No, they only provide click and collect regardless of postcode.

Can you please post the link?

        • @Kleetus:call them i cant post the link from my check out in my app

        • @ABUKEE:

Trent posted the link for the 8500D and it clearly says:

          "Postage: In-store pickup only".

The only delivery Bing Lee offer is via their website, but then you won't get the eBay discount.

        • @ABUKEE:
none of the TVs including the 8500 have delivery, all the ones I checked said pick up only.

        • @PVA: this is what i mean https://imgur.com/JbSgnkw

  • Anyone had luck getting JB or TGG price matching the same TV's AFTER the 20% discount?

    • do they do it? i'm scared to ask and get rejected :(

    • good guys wouldnt price match at the store with even their own 20% off ebay deal a while back. I tried when I wanted to but two air cons.

  • Panasonic TH-65DX700A 65" UHD Smart 3D 200Hz TV $2236(ebay.com.au)

    LG 60UH850T 60" SUHD 3D Dolby Vision 200Hz TV $2399(ebay.com.au)

Which one would you guys recommend? I was looking at the Panasonic because of the larger screen, but I've seen web os is one of the best operating systems on a TV.

Out of luck as JB don't match interstate competitors anyway

    • They won't match an eBay promotional discount either.

  • Thx op, bought the BES920 just now. Seems to be an incredible price. Didn't think i'd be $720 down half an hour after i got into work this morning, but there ya go, thx OzB lol!

    • +1

Great price. You will love it.

  • Any opinions on the Samsung KS8000? Down to $2k makes it affordable.

  • I grabbed the KD55X9300D yesterday. Holy crap, what a beautiful TV. I absolutely love it. Thanks OP!

  • Merged from LG OLED 55EG910T $1999.20 @ Bing Lee eBay

There has been a recent price cut on these TV's down to $2499. With the eBay sale this is the first time I have seen a new OLED TV go for under $2k. I own the previous model to this and cannot recommend them enough.

    Enjoy!

Thanks. No HDR for a $2k TV.

I wonder what life oled screens have? would they be at least 10 years like you expect for normal TVs.

        • +1

          Depends on usage I guess

Screen burn would be my biggest concern as OLED tends to have this fault on many phones

HDR in all honesty is a gimmck, I personally think its no where near mature enough for mainstream and really is a pointless effort until 10bit screens and proper 4k gaming consoles come out that will actually utlize the technology properly, I can't see myself forking out 1000's to early adopt something that might never really take off

MD Players were a good example of something that failed the market

Do you need HDR now, not really tbh
Do you need 4k, it depends, prices are dropping and they are more affordable but a good 1080p panel will trump a cheap 4k panel anyday

        • @shawncro 222: No burn in issues with mine. Very few cases I have seen with lasting burn in. It runs a compensation cycle when you switch it off, provided you use the remote and not the switch on the TV. You only ever see burn in on display models because they obviously use a master switch to turn off all the TVs.

          @Plasma:

Whilst you may not experience it, it is still a known problem if people are careless with their units

    • I bought the previous model to this at the time for $2300. Admittedly, there were no HDR-enabled TVs at the time (from memory), and most of the 4k TVs only supported HDMI 1.4 and were lower end models. I'd personally still buy this overly a similarly priced 4k/HDR TV now. Apparently it does about 30,000 hours before losing half of its brightness (so 8 hours a day over 10 years). Stunning picture, very hard to fault.

  • seems all the Sony TV are out of stock now.
