Canon EF 24-70mm F/4L IS USM Zoom Lens $697.59 @ Dick Smith by Kogan eBay

CUT20

I am kicking myself for buying this lens yesterday with the 15% off coupon… but I think this is an excellent price given that the lens normally sells around $650 mark for a second hand. Note that this is grey import so limited warranty compared to local stock (thanks Spackbace for reminding)

  • what was it yesterday?

    • Same price but with 15% off so about $740 :/

  • +2

Grey-import (obviously), so limited warranty compared to local stock

    • Yeah it is. Thanks for reminding I've put it up in description

  • Great price for a great lens!

  • It's a great price.

An even better bargain is the Canon EF 11-24mm f/4L USM Lens $3671.99 down to $2937.60 (DigiDirect listed $3,964.00)

    • True if you are willing to spend that much for a lens. I am waiting for Sigma as they are soon will be releasing the 11-24mm f4 Art series lens for reportedly RRP $1600 (USD I pressume)

      • Yeah mate, I agree, and more importantly utilization, $3000 for dozen shots per 12 months is very costly.

I look forward seeing Sigma 11-24, too. It's much more affordable.

The release time of 11-24 range in Canon & Sigma is so much closer.

Unlike, the Sigma 50mm 1.4 Art vs Canon 1.2 they compete in like 10 years gap? I must admit, Sigma completely blows my mind with its price and IQ delivered at 1.4 (I own Canon 50mm 1.2L)

IMHO, Lenses are worthy investment compared to body.

        • Definitely. Have bought and sold lenses numerous times with very little loss (at times profit). As long as you are smart about your purchase you aren't gonna lose much money out of buying good lenses

  • Any TRS Claim out of it?

    • No. Grey import do not have GST component. Hence why its cheaper than local stock.

  • To each their own, however investing decent coin in an F4 lens seems a waste for my photographic purposes. .
