Flash Sale!

As a community, we've completed almost 10 million fixes and projects. As we hurtle towards this awesome milestone, here at Sugru HQ we're in a particularly good mood. Let's get to 10 million together.

40% off - this week only…

You're right, it is a little crazy. Quick before we change our minds! 40% off all orders over £15 / $25 / 20€ until the end of this week. Just use the code 10MILLIONFIXES at checkout or click on the button below.

Sugru sticks permanently to lots of stuff like ceramics, glass, metal, wood, and most plastics and fabrics. Just push it onto something, then it’s time to build, seal, fix, create and stick things together. You’ll have 30 minutes to get the job done.

Give it 24 hours, and Sugru turns into a durable, flexible silicone rubber that stays stuck (unless you remove it).

I used this stuff and works very well.

This stuff would be handy if it lasted longer(shelf life).

    • how long do they last?

OK it's was 6 months when I purchased a few years ago but apparently now lasts 13months and longer if kept in the fridge. It's just you may not use it for 12 months then have a small repair job that it would be perfect for so the stuff you have is gone bad and the price and wait for delivery makes it not worth the trouble.

In saying that if you havnt tried it get some and then just go around the house for hours looking for places to use it. It is actually pretty cool stuff.

  • Thanks OP! I've been keen to try this out every time that LifeHacker does a post on some crazy hack using Sugru.

I got out of bed to go and buy some (3 packets of 8) as soon as I got the email from Sugru. I've been a long time user and absolutely love it!

My last diy with Sugru was last week when I stuck a shelf on our bathroom wall - no need to drill. Then I replaced some 3M Command hooks I had used to hang hooks for robes etc behind bedroom door, as they kept falling off.

Just put it in the fridge and it will double its shelf life (this is what the packet says).

    • So they adhere to the walls as well as 3M Command hooks? Do they remove easily when done?

I haven't had to remove one from a plaster wall yet, but I guess it'll make a mark. You can remove it from tiles and other surfaces with no fuss. Check out their website for ideas. You'll be surprised how many ways there are to use it. As I said, instead of drilling the shelf base on the bathroom tiles, I used Sugru. It saved taking the drill out and risking a cracked tile.

  • What sort of postage do they charge, they do;t say on their website., only delivery method.

    • Postage was included in the price.

    • Postage is 3.95 (UK pound) which is discounted as a total with the code.
