    Price in title

  • Seems like normal prices to me?

    • What prices have you seen in Melbourne with the same service? Genuinely interested as I would like to review the prices.

I'm sure you could bargain these guys down too. But they are not claiming 50% off.

A couple more features on yours perhaps but they are costless features (ie. don't use ink/paper).

        • Interesting. The other features do have costs. Mainly for wireless Internet and licensing for music etc. But I do see your point. Our paper are actually stickers for the more expensive packages but this isn't really a selling point, more of a convenience than gluing it.

If you were to book a photo booth. You would only book a photo booth purely for the photo strips and nothing else? Or would you want the other features?

Would you rather have a build your own package system than a set packages as shown on the current website?

        • @Lilap:

I think that if you are using quality stock or something different such as your stickers you should definitely be putting that in your listing. If it is a differentiator list it but you'll need evidence that it is better than other providers.

I think the operators need to go back to building actual BOOTHS instead of what is essentially a computer with a camera on top with a fancy printer inside all inside a 5 to 6 foot standing box. The whole fun of the experience is cramming into the booth with 4 or 5 other people, barely getting everyone on the photo or being in there with the one you love making cute pictures without people bothering you about PDAs etc. :)

I think the ability to have both a set package and a build your own package would be great (if done right).

        • @serpserpserp:

The quality of the print would be the same as any other dye sub printer currently on the market. Only difference is that it is a sticker to be easier to stick onto the photo books instead of using glue.

Since the quality is the same, we decided not to add this as an advantage to our competitors.

I agree with building booths. Hence why ours is the first design and we are already designing the second version which is a huge improvement from the first.

If you have a look at our previous corporate work, your description is exactly how we did it. Back in NZ and also here in Australia. However, the whole market leans towards automatic booths and hence why we decided to invest and create a new division.

We still want people to cram in and get the best photos possible, also another reason why we have 2 cameras plus adding in a 3rd 360 camera for virtual skyping.

As for the create your own. How many options do you think would be too many options?

        • @Lilap:

          How many options are there?

If there is over 30 or something like that, it is a little too much, however if it is 10 to 20 it is probably fine. Remember the choose your own option is for the people that actually WANT to do that. Otherwise the majority of people will probably just choose a package.

        • @serpserpserp: Hello,

At the moment, I am trying to limit the amount of options and trying to group them into automatic options (It tries to auto select the most popular options).

Definitely will not be more than 5 Multichoice questions.

I agree, I have created two types. One is the packages type, which is what you currently see on the website. It will tell you what is already included etc. Then there is another option where you can create a whole package for yourself. So basically from scratch. There are some benefits to both such as if Pre-packaged, it is easy, it has everything you need if you want everything. If it is create your own, you might be able to save on budgets.

The most important things I need to get from customers is the Event Details, Venue details and the Style of booth they want. Still deciding if this information should be grabbed at the start of the Booking process or at the end just before paying. Where do you prefer it to be?

        • @Lilap:

You could ask for it up from and use the info to suggest a package for them. Then if that isn't what they want they can customize or choose a package from there.

  • How much is the machine? Is it easy to start our own?

    • Hello jes, are you talking about the machine outright or hire?

If outright, our machines are custom made, we design and build our own machines. We come from a corporate sector that services concerts, festivals etc so we had to get ahead of the current photo booth competition by designing and jam packing our machines with features that are included with every hire. If you would like to know more, contact us using our contact form on the page and we will get back to you about this.

If about the hire, the machines come with an attendant to help with the wifi connections, social sharing and changing the paper within the machine. We are currently receiving feedback in regards to hiring the machines without an attendant and we are looking into options to allow hosts to operate these themselves. It is possible but there would be very limited to no prints as the printers require a new roll every certain number of prints.

Let me know if you have anymore questions by using the contact form here https://lilapmedia.com/ (Bottom Right hand corner).

      Thanks

  • We have requested feedback from our existing customers, potential customers and from a community in Facebook in regards to the pricing, feature set and a lot more.

I would like to ask the Ozbargain community for your feedback as this is vital information that would help shape the service even more.

I would like your thoughts on this question:

Would you rather have set pricing such as the above pricing that included all the features listed on our service pages,

    or

Would you rather create your own packages from scratch?

    Thanks in advance.
