  • Jesus Christ what a confusing array of plans.

I'm pretty confident that PennyTel, with $0 minimum spend per month is better than this.

    • Hi,
I am not sure why you got confused because the list of countries that are included in the plan are clearly mentioned there. Maybe you need to look clearly. If u can let me know how Pennytel's $0 minimum spend is better I can further look into it.
      Regards,
      Voiper

  • right, 100min call to me worth 8 cents.

  • Agree Pennytel Maxotel or Mynetfone, seem to be better alternatives

Mynetfone 1.9c a minute to USA = 1.90 for 100 minutes. Pennytel while not as good quality for some, is even cheaper. Really cant see any bargain here

And the standard 550 worth of minutes vs the 8 or 10c a call. Say average of 5 min calls = 110 calls at 8c pennytel and 10c mynetfone = $9-$11 worth of value So still cheaper than this. And after the free 100 minutes are used you are a further $2 a month worse off.

    No Bargain

Look at Pennytel, or Mynetfone (sign up under the whirlpool plan - search ozbargain for references)

  • Hi ozpete,
We are offering calls to India as well in the plan which are much more expensive than USA. Again I would say please look at the plans carefully and see the countries that we have included and then compare it.We are sure 550 + 100 = 650 mins to 18 destinations including India is a pretty good plan.
Our Rates to USA: $1.7 so which ever way you do the maths we might be cheaper.
    Regards,
    Voiper

  • Hi Mily,
How is 100 mins worth of calling to India and other 17 countries that we are giving in our plan worth 8c???? Can u please show me the maths behind your calculation.
    Regards,
    Voiper

  • Sorry dont see how this is a bargain.

Skype for one has India at AU 12.7c per min. Some maths; 100mins x 12.7c = $12.70

Credit doesn't expire after 30days, prepay for as little as $8. Available on mobile, PC, Mac etc.

    • Hi Russann,
Please let me explain you. Like u said Skype is charging $12.70 for 100 mins to India on the other hand our deal is: we normally give 550 mins to india and other 17 countries in $13.99 ONLY as a special deal on OZ Bargain we are offering 100 extra mins in the same price.
So you pay us $13.99 for calling India and 17 other countries for 650 mins altogether. You are a better judge now that which deal is better and economical.
As per your quote if you were with skype for 650 mins they would charge you $12.7c x 650 mins = $82.55 whereas we are only charging $13.99 . I think this is an excellent deal for anyone any specially for skype users who are calling India on these rates.
We also have PAYG plans which u can purchase from us for $10, 20 or 30 with no expiry date untill you utilise the full amount. and our retail rates to India start from under 3c. So we are far much better here as well.
Please let me know if you need further info and we will be happy to help you.
      Regards,
      Voiper Team

  • Fair enough, I'd missed the 550 mins…But I'll stick with Skype as I have some many friends on it.

    Thanks.

MNF has 100 calls to INDIA for $24.95 a month up to 2 hours each call. Your deal is very bad in this day and age.

    • Dear zman,
      Few points to remember:
      1. MNF rates are approx. more than 5 times of what we are offering. please check here https://www.mynetfone.com.au/Residential/Home-Phone/Internat…
2.The calls dont include calls to mobiles to most countries where as we do specially India which is a major factor.
      3. Many other factors come in place like customer service, accessibility etc.
We are not here to criticise other companies. We have our unique identity and we would like to keep it that way.We think this is a good deal and that is why we are promoting it.

Good or bad depends on individual users but feedback is always welcome.

  • No worries. Just to let you know we offer free Voiper to Voiper calling anywhere in the world. On net calls only.
    Regards,
    Voiper Team

    • I don't think that there's an internet calling service that DOES NOT offer free on-net calls. That's not a selling point at all.

This is a dud deal no matter how you try and spin it.

      • Its not used as a selling point else it would have been stated in the deal, but sometimes its necessary to state the obvious for people who are not aware and can get confused which we believe helps customers who are new to the concept of VOIP.
As for the deal being dud
You still could not explain how pennytel which you had mentioned in your first comment was a better deal than ours and we still have not been shown a deal which beats ours only a couple of confusions which we sorted out. So we hope you understand and we dont really have to state the obvious in this case.

  • On calls to India..Optus prepaid offers convenience of calling direct from mobile no internet required) on their $10=200min International Zone A recharge (5c/min No connection fee/No flagfall) . I have not found any other product offering the same service at a lower price.
PennyTel offers 2c/min but their ANI call back fetaure works out to be way more expensive (10.5c/min to my mobile plus 2c/min to India=12.5c/min).

  • Hi crazyanand,
The optus prepaid you mentioned gives 200 min for $10.00
therefore 600 min will be for 600 min for $30.00
We are giving 550 Min + 100 Min Free = 650 Min for $13.99 ONLY
We do offer a mobile dialer with which you can make calls through your mobile using the internet of you mobile as we are a voip provider and voip works through the internet. We do not charge any flagfall or connection fees and 650min means honest 650min. We give our customers access to a user portal through which they can check their call history and the minutes they have used. Do let us know if you have any other questions.
    Regards,
    Voiper Team

  • Voiper you now see a benefit of being here you get feedback on your deals which many would be concerned about when evaluating your service. Your Indian prices maybe competitive, so maybe you might want to target that market. Other markets you do not compare on price.

Welcome here and your responses have been helpful

    • HI Ozpete,
We are copying our previous reply which we gave you but you did not respond to it.

      your Question:

We certainly have one of the best prices to India as well as many other countries which if you will do some research will find out and we are pretty confident that we are better than most in terms of pricing to many other countries. This plan might not be the best for a person who wants to call USA only but this is just one of the eight plans that we offer and we do have the pay as you go service where a customer can buy credit for USA with rates as low as 1.7c per min.

      Thankyou for your feedback
