  • some of these services are just cons. when you get there the bill goes from $150 to $1000 because it doesn't include oil and they charge $30 a litre. doesn't include labour and they charge $300 hour. etc etc. would like to see feedback from people on if this one is good please

    • in their list of inclusions there is a list of labor / parts included…

      • do they try to push engine flushes and wheel alignments and other unnecessary repairs on people?

        • I don't know, I've never used them, just had a look at their quotes…

        • Hey Kima,

As apart of the service, the mechanic will check your car to make sure everything is running well. If there is any concerns, they will contact you straight away and let you know - but the decision to go ahead with any extra services is completely up to you :)

Ah yes engine flush, known in the industry as "wallet flush"
also see: radiator flush, power steering flush, diff treatment and for new cars, paint protection.

I don't think you understand what this website is, they are just a booking service for mechanics. You search for the type of service you need and they provide quotes from multiple different mechanics in your area so you can compare prices easily, but they all include the same labour and parts in the quoted price. By going through the website you are guaranteeing you won't be charged you any more than you agreed at booking. Obviously which mechanic you choose is then the main factor in whether they try and push extra services on you on the day but since the website has reviews available it makes it easier to pick a reputable place.

yes thats right, i was thinking it was like groupon etc buts its not

  • does the discount taken off the first booking.
Do we pay on the website or to the workshop?

    • Hey he88388,

you pay the mechanic once the service is completed!

Fixed Price Car Service helps secure the price and a service time of your choosing :)

      • So if the fixed price is $150, I will only have to pay the mechanic $110 after the service.
Not pay $150 and wait for $40 to be reimbursed?

When you're on the finalise booking page, apply your code and it will take off $40.

From your example, if the original price is $150, once you apply your $40 off code, the total cost of the service that you pay is $110 at the discounted price.

        • @Kjane18:
Then you pay for all the extras, which will rise and fall depending on the garages current workload.

  • Dodgy. I just booked my car through supercheap auto services website ($150) through their current deal where you get $40 gift card, then saw this 'deal' and checked the price here to compare and they have a different price on this site ($144) so cannot make use of the $40 discount at all. Glad I booked through supercheap auto services at least I can get something out of my service.
