Spend $200 and Receive a $20 Gift Card at IKEA

60

For every $200 spent on IKEA furniture between Thursday 10th June and Sunday 20th June you will receive a bonus $20 IKEA Gift Card.

To be eligible for the bonus gift card you must make a purchase in-store at IKEA Homebush Bay Drive, IKEA Richmond, or IKEA Logan. Purchases from the IKEA Restaurant, Bistro and Swedish Food Market are excluded as are purchases of Gift vouchers.

This offer is not as good as "Eat your discount", but still not bad.

  • i simply made a $20 item purchase and asked to put the rest $180 on a gift card and still qualified. I got my $20 free card. It will come handy later on when we need to buy lots of stuff for the baby. I wonder if these gift cards really dont have an expiry date or do they?

    • Wow, that is a smart way to score a gift card.

    • Went to the Homebush store tonight hoping that I could score some free cards by purchasing a bunch of gift cards (I am moving in to my new home in 3 weeks time)… but was bluntly turned away. I suggested the same way as you did (purchase something and make up the rest with gift card) and was told it won't work neither. Am so upset as I don't have keys to my new home yet and the guy at the delivery desk was so rude, he refuses to deliver anything later than 1 day. =(

  • With Ikea's recent promotions which rearly seen before, I start to worry if there is any problem with their finance…

  • Foolish to exclude gift cards…ultimately it's still money in their pocket and stock leaving the store at some point in time!

On a previous offer, I cannot recall if it were identical or just similar however I think the purchase was $100 not $200 last time, they didn't exclude gift cards as I simply bought the gift cards and then went in and bought what I wanted.

I can understand that they are wanting repeat business, i.e. you returning to the store another time and buying more than your $20 gift card, but if they are falling on hard times a dollar is still a dollar isn't it!?
