    How do the prices on these compare with the SIM Cards that Vodafone sell in Auckland Duty Free?

      Just browsed nz mobile provider prepaid options. All the data allowances are tiny in comparison to Australia, or quite expensive - don't nz people want data!

        when you say month to month - you mean prepaid? I looked on the vodafone site, and it's not very clear. If so, sounds like i can activate two or three prepaid sims just before I go, and have heaps of data. thanks.

          Nah, It can't be prepaid. Has to be post-paid but that does not mean you have to sign up for a contract. They have month-to-month plan which can be cancelled at anytime after you return from NZ. Have a look here http://www.vodafone.com.au/plans/sim-only
