  • Unrelated to this deal but, what's refurbished difference? As in will it look like new anyway since they've refurbished it?

    • was faulty but now repaired.

      • What's likely hood of it failing again? Would be as likely as "just as new" right?

        • its possible but they generally offer warranty. not entirely new, it could have been returned faulty any time during it's warranty period.

    • "Refurbished" doesn't necessarily mean refurbished. It means it was deemed to be resalable with "refurbished" stipulation. At very least, it will turn on.

  • +1

My pick would be DFO-M59PCRAU Dell UltraSharp U2515H, $306. QHD (U2515H) vs FHD (U2414H).

    • Only one, and it's gone.

  • whats the difference between as new and refurb

    • As new is literally unopened (at least all my three purchases have been) from the outlet.

    • my understanding is that as new is largely products that have been ordered but cancelled, and refurb are warranty repairs that have been fixed. I'ved ordered an "as new" laptop and was new but the packaging was pretty minimal

  • ATM have a AOC G2460VQ6 for free sync 1ms etc for gaming, would a mismatch in monitors be ok? or ugly AF

    • Is that AOC any good? I've been eyeing one out as a replacement for mine. 75Hz is nice and I looked at my monitor the other day next to my partners with a new monitor and my picture is all washed out compared to hers.

      • Umm I think it's decent for its price with those specs, I am no expert though but feels really smooth and clear with 75hz and freesync etc make sure u have Displayport for 75hz. Kinda not so classy looking monitor that doesn't have rotation or height adjustments. Function over form applies here.

    • So does anyone have mismatching monitors, do you recommend it?

  • +1

I don't understand how a monitor with 23.8 inches diagonal screen can produce a 31.5 inch horizontal image.

    • Non-euclidean space.

  • waiting for a U2412M D:

  • am i the only one waiting for a 27" at around $400? I saw one a couple of months ago when i wasnt sure if i needed to upgrade my current monitor. after that, i have never seen it again on the outlet website.

    • I got my Dell from the refurb store for $490 about a year ago. It was the U2713H, $400 should be possible I would think.

  • +1

Bought this model about 2 months ago from Dell outlet. It came as like new condition, fairly happy with the picture quality. Just wish this has physical buttons instead of touch buttons which are quite a pain to use as they're quite unresponsive sometimes

  • If anyone bought one of these and no longer wants it, I'll take it off your hands if you are located in Sydney.

  • My two monitors arrived today. Brand new in box, unopened. Ripper of a deal!
