Awesome. My anz card worked through the normal link. Thanks!

  • +1

I know it says 'Exclude gift cards' but is this similar to the Dan Murphy's deal where it does work indeed ?

Edit - Never mind, can't seem to find any gift cards on the Woolworths Online store.

I know it says 'Exclude gift cards' but is this similar to the Dan Murphy's deal where it does work indeed ?

.Edit - Never mind, can't seem to find any gift cards on the Woolworths Online store.

They are on the site but it redirects to "everyday gift card" Bella Vista… so likely no credit of $20

Someone that has tried in the past might come along and let us know for sure tho.

      • +8

        Yup, doesn't work (just tried).

        • +6

Correct, I tried on a previous promotion and it did not work.

  • Thanks OP

  • Finally one that works

Amex is raining deals..love you amex

  • How do we spend $100 in a hit?

    • +3

      Alcohol?

      • +1

queensland no alcohol in woolworths we are NAN state. no costco alcohol or aldi alcohol

        • Same in SA

        • +1

@trev likes bargains: After spent a year in germany as student have alcohol in supermarket right next to my dorm room i miss my 12.99 euro Jagermeister 700 ml bottle and baked goods. Do they let you guy drink in public? at beach or public parks

        • Wow…. its bad here in NSW but not that bad. All this nanny state pc crap instead dealing with issues is getting very tiresome!

        • @nikey2k27: You can drink in public but there are dry zones too. A few tend to drink on buses and have the bottle in a brown paper bag 😂

    • +1

I find it hard but some with spouse and kids probably won't. I don't like grocery to be delivered anyway so probably give this a miss.

      • +2

You can do click and collect to save the delivery fee.

    • +14

"… in one or more transactions …" so no need to spend $100 in one hit.

      • +2

        EXCELLENT POINT MY FRIEND!

        great pick up

    • Well I needed milk so I just added a heap of non-perishables to get it up to exactly $100.01. Mostly it's a bunch of half-price deodorant, chocolate and the long-life juice. I would be buying it anyway but I'll just have to stockpile it and use up it over the next year.

Figured this was easier to just get it over with. Plus I have 2x Amex cards so I might use the other one in parts.

      • Let's all hope everything is in stock

      • Are you sure you were going to buy these all anyway? In my case, to save $20, I would probably spend $40 more. I would rather be happy with my 5.5% cashback on Woolies eGift cards. Difficult to be content though, I must confess.

        • The Nestle blocks are $2.25 so I bought a few. I always buy a few at that price.

        • @inherentchoice: That's a good habit for yourself and economy as well, mate. Cheers.

  • Thanks op :)

  • Thanks OP. As usual only the manual link worked.

  • -1

If you are going to be spending $150 or more then combine with the Dan Murphys offer and get $30 off $150 in total. Shame Woolies don't have any current coupons to add into the equation.

    • How?

      • +2

Dan Murphy $10 Cashback for $50 spend on Amex. Get $50 Dan Murphy gift card and use at Woolies as it is a Wish Gift card.

        • I don't think these discounts are valid on gift card purchases.

  • +1

Far out Amex is on fire lately…

    • Very few deals are easily redeemable for an average Joe with ordinary spend though.

  • +2

    Thanks OP!

Hmm interesting… I've got the welcome spend $30 get back $15 AMEX offer as well. I wonder if both offers would apply at the same time if I was to spend $100?

  • -7

    Is there a manual link?

    • +4

It's literally the first line in the post…

      • +1

Meanwhile, scrolling up & down waiting for a ninja.

  • -2

    Sorry….found the link.

  • Thanks

  • Nice! Will wait for a sale on dog food and click and collect.

    • +2

      Poor dog eating supermarket food

      • Going for Optimum

        • @Turd: Thanks. Have already read through this. He seems to be fine with it, as part of a mixed diet of fresh meats and scraps as well.

        • @unintended88: No worries. Did you get the black hawk free sample? xD

        • @Turd: You know it! Actually - funny thing, he tried the black hawk and his poop was very dried out and very small. Switched back to optimum and it was fine again. Glad he doesn't have expensive taste!

        • @unintended88: This usually happens because the digestisystem of the dog has never taken in so much meat, you should slowly introduce it.

But yeah whatever it's a dog. :P Not a Human baby

      • +1

Nothing wrong with fresh chicken, lamb or beef from the 'human' aisle

  • All right, now the problem is what shall I spend $100 x 2 cards at Woolworth in the next 3 weeks. Milk & Bread?

    • Well I have 9 cards and $100 spent is like 1 month or more for me. So …. >.<

    • -1

      in one or more transactions

So try to combine with this deal to see if it works https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/270325

  • Was wondering why I hadn't been getting targeted incentives from Woolworths. Now I guess I won't get any until this promotion is over.

  • thanks no email confirmation though! lets hope they dont refund a can of tuna so takes it under $100 =S

  • anyone get an email confirmation? i normally get the amex rebates emails on the way out of the shop
    been a few hours already…

    • Did you purchase online from Woolworths website? Since you mentioned 'out of the shop' it sounds like you made your purchase in-store?

      • Purchased online - I meant from previous Amex offers like Shop Small etc
Normally, I'm still putting stuff away and I get the email

    • No email prob expecting alot of out of stock refunds ie no cash back

    • no email for me either…I wouldn't worry yet

      • Yeah I spend $120+ and I too haven't received an email either.

However, I did also register the welcome spend $30 get $15 back for Woolworths and got an email from AMEX confirming of this spend straight after.

Fingers crossed that both offers are applied even though the spend $100 get $20 back email wasn't received!!!

If not, teaches me a lesson for trying to outsmart the system =(

        • +2

I had double offers from David Jones last time and both kicked in with one transaction, so there is no reason why this will not apply to Woolworths deal.

  • Thanks OP!

  • You will receive email until your $100 stock picked up from the store.

    • Nah still no email athough the 20$ saving was busted when they only put half my stuff in the trolly so had to go bak another day.

  • No email for both of my cards, however my partners secondary card (on my account) did get the email and cashback in the account this morning, still waiting on my other two cashbacks (in my name). All orders were placed at the same time and collected on the same day … weird

  • I didn't get email either. Ordered Sunday, received order yesterday (Monday) and still no email. Usually amex send email straight away!

  • Has anyone that didn't receive the AMEX offer confirmation email, receive the statement credit into their account already?

    • Not a big issue, just give them a call. You will get the credit.

Amex customer care staffs are quite nice.

      • Yes but what if your card is bank issued and not amexed issued?

        • yeah! I want me $20 greedy banking world!

    • Nope

  • +3

If you haven't already received an email, get in contact with Amex to get a credit. I was advised there was a technical issue where my Woolworths Online charge was captured in US dollars, therefore this was the reason I did not receive a credit of $20.

    • kewl thaks do you know if Amex deals with bank issued cards aswel or just Amex issued

      • @TheStahh, it depends on the Amex deal at the time, sometimes bank issued cards will work other times no. With this offer, bank issued cards work

    • @Fusakin Do you have your AMEX card directly with AMEX? I have a NAB card and still have not gotten my $20 back yet

      • I have received the statement credit transaction email acknowledgement for NAB Amex.

    • Thanks for the heads up - this was the issue for me also, recorded in USD @ 79 meaning their system didn't get triggered. An email through their messaging centre later, they're sorting it out for me (amex issued card)

    • hi - what number did you call them on?

      • 1300 132 639

        • thanks mate

    • +1

Same thing for me, probably a lot of others…

      Response from Amex:

"You'll be glad to know that I have immediately raised a request to credit $20.00 to your account and you'll be able to view it within 24-48 hours. I hope this puts your concern to rest.

"Generally the statement credits are automatically issued within 5 business days from the spend date. However, the system has captured the spend amount in US dollars instead of Australian dollars. Although spend is made at eligible merchant location, the credit is not triggered in this case.

"Since the spend amount in US dollars is $75.91 USD, the credit was not auto triggered by the system. You should not worry at all as we have already taken care of this matter for you."

    • Do you know if they will they be fixing up everyone's credit automatically or will they only do it if you get in touch with them?

  • does anyone know whom to contact in case of issues as I saved the offer, got the email, spent $100 on amex but never got a mail after that or any credit back..
Did anyone else have such issue?

    • Same boat! Someone above saying to call them. I guess I'll call the number on the back of the card.

    • @puffinfresh - thanks mate.
I saw this page and was a bit hesitant to put in my card number. thats why i am looking for a direct number to call

      • It's an Amex website. Just like the one you put your card number into when you signed up to Amex Connect, or to the deal itself if you used a manual link. They take security seriously. In fact, you won't get a normal email back from them, but rather a 'secure email' with authentication requirements.

        • ok.. thanks mate..

        • @coolhead:
I used click and collect yesterday, but still no credit email.

The payment is still pending but other offers I usually get the credit email straight away.

        • @lufee: You may suffered from the same issue above, if you just CC yesterday you can wait for a week then call them to manually add credit for you

        • @John Kelvin:
Just received the email back and told me I was charge in US and since my payment is still pending, the credit will be applied after it goes through. If not, told me to contact again

  • I spent $112 on Friday, got the email from amex connect, then had $44 refunded that same day because an item was out of stock. I still received the $20 credit on Tuesday. (NAB)

Now I'm just waiting on the credit from my other card that I used a few days earlier and didn't have an email or refund. I contacted them and they said it's on the way. (ANZ)

    • so did you contact ANZ or amex about the credit? thanks

  • anyone know if purchases on the 4/11/2016 will still get the cash back?

    thanks

    • Yes, 4/11/16 was he last day of the promotion

      • thanks thought that was the case.
