Available on back order. Just ordered 2. Thanks!

How do you order on back order online?

  • Just order as normal and it will back order.

  • +1

Does anyone know how much this quilt is worth?
The RRP is over the top?

    • +1

Who knows. But to get some idea. The absolute cheapest polyester quilt is $8 from BigW. Any hint of feather fill starts at around $45 on the net. That's as far as I got.

  • +2

Can't find it on the website anymore, they must have taken it down.

    • +1

Ozbargain. Let's hope that if they cancel my order they would give me a refund without me having to chase them up.

  • +1

    OZBARGAINED!! GONE

  • +3

Called this morning to say they had one ready to pick up.

Called later this morning to cancel/refund and said it was selling below cost price. Grab it while you can!

  • +2

I guess this thread will quilton down now seeing you can't order no more online.

  • My orders placed yesterday wont be processed.

  • +1

That's why they called "Hardly Normal". You'll get your refund after 3 weeks.

  • Didn't get an email to say come and get it. So I called the store. They are out of stock. They will apparently try and get stock ordered in, but I have my suspicions the order will be cancelled.

  • Out of the 200 positives, how many people have picked theirs up yet?

  • Could anyone who actually gets it please post an invoice?

  • +3

Oh well, worth a shot. Email received just now… At least the refund seems fast, I hope.

      • Same email here.I tried to be generous and chose the $25 rip-off delivery method hoping it will make them happy, but it didn't work :P

Not a deal. Negging due to price error.

  • +9

The only time I shop at Harvey is when there's a price error, and Harvey doesn't honor price errors. I think that means I should stop shopping there.

    Dear Customer,

    • This is clause 5(9) in the T&C:

"(9) Harvey Norman Online may, in its sole and absolute discretion, accept or reject any offer made by you for any reason (or no reason), including an error in the advertised price for, or description of, the products on the website, or an error in your Order."

Did we "offer" $24 for the quilt?

      • If you know about contract laws the advertised price is an invitation to treat. However accepting our payments are in fact accepting our offers.

        • I never received a tax invoice, so they didn't actually accept it?

      • 11) Harvey Norman Online will be deemed to have accepted your Order when your Order is delivered to your specified delivery address or on collection of your Order from a Harvey Norman Store.

    Im Going Into Battle:

    https://www.lawanswers.com.au/blog/australian-consumer-law-r…

    Wrong price
Where all units of the same item have been priced incorrectly or are scanning incorrectly at the register, the seller does not have an obligation to honour that price. In these circumstances, the seller is within its rights to correct the error at the register by offering you the item at the correct price (provided this is done before your payment is accepted).

A seller can’t attempt to correct the error or claw back any money after they have processed your sale and accepted payment, as the transaction (and the contract) is deemed complete at this point.

I paid via Paypal and thus will be disputing this to it's full extent!

    • GLHF with that. Do let us know when it fails kthx.

      • +2

I'll take it to ACA or civil claims if they don't honour, i have all the proof in the pudding :D lol

  • Nice to see some one trying to teach a lesson to HN for consumer rights.I hope you will succeed…do share whatever is the outcome.

  • Had the same price error e-mail earlier today- no luck for me either!

  • So how many people actually successfully got the deal?

    • not me :(

i got that lame email also

  • Anyone went in to pick up anyway before the cancellation email, despite not having the collection email?

  • Sounds like we should get a Class Action going for these quilts.

    • +1

We should not quit for the quilts

  • Refund processed quite fast. :(

"Web Team Sales - Credit Memo…. Please be advised that this is a refund confirmation for your online order. The refund amount may take up to 2-3 working days before it appears on your financial statement."

  • refunded too

  • +1

Refunded, going to complain and send them my terms and conditions.

  • +2

    thanks alphabravo1001

I had also paid via paypal so emailed Harvey Norman and refused the refund showing that I am aware of consumers' law. After a couple of days they called me back and asked if I still wanted the quilt for $24. I said yes, they charged my credit card and now I have a great quality quilt for a bargain price!
