This was a pretty popular deal last time it was posted, and I noticed today that it is free again.

It's a decent alternative to OneNote for light users, although it tends to be a bit more power hungry for me at least.

If you intend on getting a tablet with pen input any time in the future it's worth getting.

Also available on iTunes but I'm not sure if it ever cost anything there.

      No, you didn't.

  • How's this compare to onenote on a Surface pro?

    • This gives a pretty good overview of it's features.

  • What's a viable alternative for android?

    • The same company makes this. I've never used it and it's not completely free but it looks pretty similar.

As per last time - this app will ONLY work with PC's that have an active stylus pen (preferably only the Surface models apparently). It will not work with any passive styluses or touch. I did manage to get it working on an older Samsung Vivo Tab Pro with S-Pen, but does come with an unsupported message at the start of the app.

    • Thanks. Can't seem to get it working with my Lenovo (and pen).

Yep, same here. It looks like Microsoft have done their usual, and decided that 'standards aren't standards' unless they are Microsoft ones.

  • Is there a way to "purchase" the app on the microsoft account and use it later?

    • Once you purchase the app under your microsoft account, it is added to your inventory of apps in the microsoft app store.
You can uninstall the app, however it will then show up on the list of apps you "own" in the store whenever you log in later.

      • Can't purchase the app unfortunately. The "Get the app" button is disabled. Am I doing something wrong?

        • I am not sure - I got the app last time it was on OzB. When I click "get the app", it opens the windows app store, and I can install or launch.
          Are you running windows 10?

        • @pete2: I'm currently running Windows 7. Do I need to be running on W10 so that I can purchase the app?

        • @jackjason: I dont have a windows 7 system to check at the moment, but it sounds like that may be the problem.
          Perhaps someone else can confirm?

        • @jackjason:

          Minimum System Requirements

          Windows 10, Windows 10 Mobile

Listed on the apps store page.
          Also states
Discount applies to Windows 10 devices only.

        • @User183029: Thanks for clarifying. I thought it would one of those Google Play type apps where we can buy it for the future. Wishful thinking I guess.

        • @pete2: Looks like that could be the problem itself. Cheers.

        • @jackjason: looks like it. Although if you know someone with win 10 or have win 10 at work maybe you can try opening an incognito browser, log in to your microsoft account and see if you can "buy" it through the browser?

        • @pete2: Ok, I'll try that and see how I go. Thanks.

        • @User183029: Iam unable to purchase it on a Unisys running Win 10

I might update and try again
