Still $435, you just get a bonus $100 voucher.

    • +2

Exactly, you're still out of pocket $435, not $335…

  • +8

    $335 after Voucher

No. It doesn't work that way

  • +5

  • Hello,

    What would be better?

    The GTX 1060 3GB :

    Or this?

This has 6GB vram. Whether you think it's worth the extra money is subjective I think.

      • Nope, 3GB has less performance, not just memory. About a 10% difference in performance if I remember correctly.

        • I have heard that, I was just wondering as its a small version if anything else may come into play.
Might run a little hotter? but anything else which would make performance worse?

        • @mavis30551: Not that I've read. I'm waiting to get a 1060 myself - last part of my build that I need! I'm tempted to wait for the next 20% or 15% eBay sale. I've read the non-SC versions of the EVGA single fan cards have crap heatsinks but It's all a bit subjective to environment, airflow etc.

        • @mavis30551:

i bought the 6gb version a couple weeks back when it was $348.

if you look at the official nvidia "founders edition" card: http://imgur.com/a/etk9n you'll notice that it's small by default. the stock cooler just makes it look bigger.

        • @bananabendera: Cheers for the info. its going in a Large tower case anyway, Ill just make sure theres an extra fan hitting it.

        • @ideasman: Good info! thanks

    • The one you have linked is 3GB and will also have 10% less CUDA cores because they have slightly crippled the GPU for the 3GB model. So basically less graphics memory and slightly less GPU performance.

    • Or wait for the 1050ti 4gb for $250.

This isn't a discount. I don't want to spend another $100 on Ebay.

    • +1

You are not obliged to buy

      • -5

        it's not a deal. lol

  • I think it's good if you're planning to spend $100 on ebay next month. I was so tempted to buy this but still holding out for a 1070 deal or potentially 1080, depending on the deal. Anyone knows any good 1070 deals?
