I ended up getting it from here for $330 but you get the $100 ebay voucher

definitely a better deal if you have nothing else to grab on eBay!

  • I have a 120GB Trion 100 and although it failed, the advanced care support this comes with made the replacement a breeze. With most things in OneDrive even the rebuild was effortless.

So a +1 for the Toshiba warranty process on this!

  • Apparently these are pretty crappy drives and just not worth the money - http://www.anandtech.com/show/9408/ocz-trion-100-240gb-480gb…

    • Different people, different experiences.

I bought a 480GB OCZ Trion & a 960GB Sandisk and the Sandisk died on me within a few months while the OCZ Trion is still going strong.

      tl;dr follow your heart

      • Not crappy with regards to reliability, but to performance. The OCZ Trion 100

"the Trion is the slowest modern TLC drive we've tested and in some cases it is so by a quite hefty margin. "

"The poor performance also translates to power inefficiency. Because the drive spends more time processing each IO, it will end up idling less than a faster drive would and as we saw in the trace-based tests that results in higher total power consumed than any other drive we have tested."
