But a good saving if the dates and terms work out for the individual. Kids won't be learning much in the last month of school anyway ;-)
some of us didn't learn much in any month

      • Kids won't be learning much in the last month of school anyway

Depends on the school and they don't refund fees…

        • I misread, and it is 13 months validity, which is pretty reasonable, even with blackouts.
Sadly, in my case at least, they would have had to refund all fees if they were only charged on the times I learned something.

          which is pretty reasonable

          not if you have kids…

better off booking early and getting a better rate.

        • Nope

          Depends on the kids

Still very cheap at $50/day per person

Went with my family in January, we stayed at a apartment for $250/day. Ended up costing us over $1600 for 5 adults with the theme park passes

      • +2

Sea World resort is hardly apartment accommodation… More like a large closet…

We booked our apartment early this year, saved around 30%… I think we're paying around $200 per day for 2 bedrooms right on the beach…

        • Sure, but SeaWorld has a waterpark and the unlimited entry to the fun park is well worth it if interests.
When I have been there (never stayed because of the cost) the last hour or so each day the park gets empty and you can get a lot of rides without queues. Would be a fun place to come back to for some fun park time each day.

          Anyone can use that…

and the unlimited entry to the fun park is well worth it if interests.

that's the only thing of value, we stayed at SeaWorld last time for a few days at the end of the our holiday and wouldn't do it again. The accommodation was very very average compared to other places we've stayed at there…

        • The water park at Seaworld is now closed.

        • @jv:
That's a shame to hear, I always thought it might be a good thing to do for the kids. And I don't mind a few rides myself.
Maybe we'll stay at one of the Disney resorts if we ever win lotto.

        • @jv:

Yeah rooms in this 'deal' are double beds… Seems a bit fail for the RRP

$799 for 5 nights @ Paradise Resort down the road, 2 adults and 2 kids. Inc entry to Dream-world etc.

$200 cheaper, get VIP passes for the other parks if you want.

      2 adults and 2 kids

This deal is for 4 (can be 4 adults)

You deal does not include unlimited theme park entry which is $89 a head if buying via groupon. 4x89 = 356

      799 + 356 = $1155

So not cheaper And really no comparison

      • +2

Unlimited to Dream-world, whitewater world etc which the Groupon deal doesn't

        I did already state that…

        • -4

Exactly , so your link and comment is pointless and time wasting as they are 2 completely different deals .

If you think it's a good deal, please go ahead and post it as a deal post

        • @easternculture:

It's an alternative. Unless you're personally vested in this deal, stop taking it personally.

Are we not all here for the best deal?

        • -1

          @Spackbace:

It's like I post a deal for oranges and you comment for another deal for apples

Like I said, if you think your deal is bargain worthy, post it up as a deal post

      • Oh and Paradise Resorts rooms are queen size, sea world's are double beds…

Dunno about you but when I holiday it's not on a double bed!

And dont know about everyone but when i go on holidays i dont want to sleep in the same room as kids or other adults. Not very fun for the wife and i!

I cant believe a resort targeted at families doesnt have 2 bedroom apartments. Great for a couple but not so good for a famiy. You have little ones that are in bed by 8pm, do you sit in the dark for the rest of the night with the TV off…

        • @worthy1:

Wow yeah I just saw that, 2 doubles in the same room. Screw that if you're going with kids, or even another couple

One of the best things about living in SE Queensland is the $100 yearly passes to SeaWorld/Movie World/Wet n Wild. I will never get sick of these theme parks.

    • +2

I used to love them aswell but i got to go to disney world and universal studios orlando this year and the level of professionalism and upkeep there has kind of spoilt these parks for me.

      • Yeah I went to Orlando last year .Universals rides are next level I was amazed at all the Harry Potter rides . Disney is still a little old school but the size and professionalism is amazing .
Problem now is the family wants to go back
