Menulog $10 off Coupon on Takeaway Orders, Expires 31 Dec 2010

173
AEFC29

Ruby from Menulog wrote me an email to put the following coupon on. Looks like they are a bit too lazy to create their own account. Anyway, here's the deal:

I'd like to give a $10 discount voucher to your site which your visitors could use in their take-away orders placed on Menulog (1,000+ listed take away restaurants). All they have to do is just type the voucher code: AEFC29 (valid till Dec. 31, 2010) at the check out. This is on top of any existing discounts our restaurants offer to your visitors as part of our normal process.

I have never used them before, but since all previous menulog coupon codes have expired, some might find this one useful.

  • What's the minimum spend to use the coupon?

    • +1

Hard question? I think each restaurant has a different minimum spend.

        Got reply from Ruby:

By the way, the minimum spend needed for the voucher is $20.

So no free takeaway valued at $10 :P

    • $20 min. spend

I am just in process of ordering from Menu log but no where it appears to put in voucher code. Can you please assist if you can. There is no number as to call Menulog to support on website.

    • I have the same problem…

Are you ordering from a restaurant on menulog that accepts vouchers? It should have had "VA" in tiny red letters on the page of search results.

I'd like to know if there is any further fine print on this voucher from Ruby. Previous vouchers from menulog have had a "first time customers only" clause.
The first time I ordered from menulog I ordered from a "VA" restaurant with a coupon. The order (and coupon) was confirmed. However just prior to delivery the restaurant called up again and said that they would not honour the voucher. I agreed to pay the full amount and accept delivery on that occasion, but was then ineligible to use any "first time customer" coupons.
I tried to get a coupon during their easter promotion for existing customers. I found two codes, but each time they were used up by someone else by the time I entered my order details.
I love the idea of menulog, but I am now very skeptical of their voucher offers.

    • Sorry that's all she has emailed me. I'll reply to get them to create an official rep here.

As of restaurant not honouring the coupon — would that be Menulog's fault or the restaurant's fault?

The restaurant pointed the finger at Menulog.

I'd just like to see more transparency in the terms and conditions for these coupons.

Can't use. Says for new customers only. Even though I am new customer (!)

"This voucher is for new customers only.
Why not send it to your friends who have not yet used Menulog?"

Will retract the negative if someone succesfully use this and show me how.

Just made an account at menulog but it refuses to let me use the voucher even though I had just created an account!!! I tried sending the vouchers to my friends using the link provided but it brings up the retarded microsoft outlook which no one uses anymore.

Ditto. I tried to do that as well. Same result.

No reply / follow-up from the rep "Ruby"?

  • Terrible, doesn't work at all

  • Couldn't use it.
