    Oh man 50% off eBay!

    • +4

      33% off?

      • -2

The offer entitles you to $10 off the total purchase price when you spend more than $20 on www.ebay.com.au in one transaction during the Offer Period.

        10/20 = 50%

      • Can confirm from eBay support it is $10 off $20 min spend

        Therefore up to 50% off

Yeow! Could someone please update this post for me? I'm currently overseas and had to go through leaps and bounds just to post this deal in the first place…

        • +1

          @rambutann: How's Jakarta treating you? ;P

        • +2

Ooh close but no cigar I'm in Weeeitnam. :)

        • +1

@rambutann: Have fun on your holiday! Very kind of you to post for us!

  • +2

you will get $10 voucher when you spend $20, it's not $10 off

    • +6

This is kind of what I thought but then its implying that you sign up, get a code, you use the code, then you get sent another code to get $10 off.

The third term states; The offer entitles you to $10 off the total purchase price when you spend more than $20 on www.ebay.com.au in one transaction during the Offer Period.

Which is why I'm thinking its $10 off a purchase over $20.

To be honest it could go either way haha

      • all good :)

      • +1

Sounds like this is the case

Which is why I'm thinking its $10 off a purchase over $20.

        • Shall wait for my $10 voucher then decide to purchase or not on ebay based on conditions attached to voucher.

      • +2

        It's a $10 coupon to use on a purchase over $20.

There's a UDemy course out there waiting for you…

  • How do they know whether you are a student or not ?

    • +4

They don't (no .edu email or any other form of verification is required), so anyone can join!

  • +2

    signed up. thanks

  • +5

Note that the email address you use must be the same as your Ebay email.

    • Do you know if you can link multiple email accounts to eBay account?
I know I can with PayPal but not sure if works for eBay.

    • Is that in the T&C somewhere?

  • +1

Must be a student, over 18 year old, and joining this membership to be qualified.
It's so exclusive, it's like saying you must be a Navy SEAL member to be qualified :p

    • +1

You can simply just be a former student. They don't verify anything at all, apart from the fact that you use to be one.

      • You have to agree to the terms (which states you must be a current full time student) & you must also specify when you will complete your degree.

        • Mine is still valid, and I haven't been a student in a long, long time.

  • +1

    Thanks OP. Signed up.

Note that when creating an account you automatically agree to the following term.
I agree to receive SMS messages from Student Edge or on behalf of 3rd parties
It's easy to uncheck this in my account options, but just thought id let the oz community know know.

    • +9

Don't put your mobile number there.

      • +1

        Also a good strategy…

  • Still don't understand how to make this happen? There is no link that says 'shop now', or anything like that…do I simply log into eBay and shop? Seems a bit vague?

    • +4

do people not read OP nowadays…

"You will receive a coupon on the 2nd of November, expiring on the 16th of November."

    • Geebus did you even read anything on the page?

The voucher will be emailed to you on 2 Nov and expires on 16 Nov.

    • Roasted.

    • Cheers guys!! Did YOU all read my comment? The question was about how to even spend the $20 now, I know the voucher will be sent afterwards!! Is there a link to follow that says 'shop now' or do I just bleeping spend?? So helpful!!

      • +2

I think you may be confused as somebody changed the original post but is has since been changed back. I posted to say that its $10 off a transaction over $20, someone changed it to say that you receive a $10 voucher if you spend $20 but it is infact the $10 off a purchase over $20.

You must sign up to student edge (or have already signed up..) and have accepted to receive emails from student edge by the 25th of October.
You will receive a coupon on the 2nd of November, expiring on the 16th of November.

As in, sign up to student edge, make sure you're registered to accept their mail, wait, get your coupon, proceed to a transaction, insert coupon, get $10 off a transaction over $20.

  • I tried the Apple store in their link and I don't see any price difference with Ipad mini from normal Apple store. Am I missing something ?

    • iPad Mini 4 using Student Edge link $539 ( http://i.imgur.com/hR2F2m8.png )
      iPad Mini 4 on normal Apple Store $569 ( http://i.imgur.com/JtEStrG.png )

U need to open the normal Apple Store website on either an incognito window or another browser ( Edge / Firefox if you're using Chrome ), because once you follow the link from Student Edge it places a cookie on your browser that applies the discount on the site.

      • +1

Ok, thanks, First I don't quite understand all these comment there as I opened using Ignito Windows. But when I Exit from Student Edge, I can see that the discount is $20 for ipad mini 2 and $30 for Ipad Mini 4. Not much, better wait for 15% Ebay (wishful thinking). Thanks

        • Apple's not exactly famous for giving discounts on any of their products…

  • +5

Awesome thanks. I was planning on getting a $20 item shortly so this will come in handy.
I am a 40+ year old student lol. I LOVE to learn…. and get free shit.

  • How do I sign up for student edge if I'm not a student?

    • Just sign up, you don't have to be a current student.

    • by entering your details. and by details I mean just your ebay email address and feel free to make up the rest. Leave out phone/address etc.

    • Student at the University of Life or studying for a Masters at the University of Hard Knocks?

may be you should go back and take a course on being an ozbargainer.

  • I don't think I'll be able to get out of their spam. Not worth it for $10.

    • +13

I think you're lurking on the wrong site… I'd do almost anything for $10

      • -6

I wish every girl was like you…

  • Cheers op :)

  • Signed up, let's see how it goes

  • +5

Ok it's not saving my preferences. When I go back to the same page after ticking the email box, it is unticked again. Fix?

    • yteah same

      • +2

Sounds like you have the same problem as Jared - you're probably already a member / was a member and have unsubscribed from their Mailing List in the past via other means ( Unsubscribe Link on Gmail? etc )

All the big mailing list companies don't allow 3rd parties to just anyhow add you into their mailing list without your consent, especially if you've already unsubscribed from it in the past.

You will probably have to send an email to Student Edge's support team and ask them to add you manually to whatever system they're using.

        • Thanks so much for that, yeah I might have to send them an email then. Thanks heaps :)

    • ( see reply below )

  • Signed up also.

  • Wiuld I be able to use this offer with the click and collect offer? Ie making a purchase over 150 dollars to get 2 coupons?

  • Thanks OP. Tried signing up only to realize I'm already a member but unsubscribed from their list.

So You guys better check to confirm you are still in the subscription email list

    I am a Udemy student.

Just got an email saying that it's delayed due to a technical issue. Will have it before the end of the week

  • +6

Today, we were meant to send you a complimentary $10 eBay voucher to use on a purchase of $20 or more. Unfortunately, a technical issue means we've had to delay the delivery of that voucher. We fully expect to send this voucher to you before the end of the week. Rest assured that you will still have two weeks to redeem your voucher from the date of issue. We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused.
    Kind regards,

    The Student Edge Team

  • Same

  • same as well.

  • -5

Did anyone make 50 accounts? LOL I didnt, Maybe I should have.

    50x$10 = $500 free
This is how you survive in Australia.

  • I didn't get that email but some other crap survey to get an instant $10 giftpax gift card

    • I got those surveys too. The stuff to redeem on Giftpax is pretty unappealing tho.

      • +1

To this date i've gotten at least a hundred dollars worth of chips, juice and vitamin water. Only do the surveys that are shorter, they're more worth it

      • +1

It's alright to keep some of those vouchers in the car to grab a drink/snack when filling up at the servo. Good for lunch at Nando's too if you have one nearby. I get heaps of them.

  • Merged from $10 eBay voucher with $20 spend for Students
    Screenshot of Email

I don't believe this is targeted and think it is for all students registered with Student Edge.

Appears a coupon is on the way. Hoping it can be stacked but doubt it.

    • +1

Lol…like we need two weeks to redeem a voucher on eBay!

    • +1

just received an email saying the delivery of voucher will be delayed and they expect to deliver them by the end of this week

      • +1

I didn't even get the email about it being delayed. Does that mean I won't get it?

  • The email states :

    Hi XXX,

So I guess it's just delay for delivering the voucher but it will come soon….

P.S. I dunno how to make the format better so hopefully it's not too hard to read.
