$250 Cashback on ANZ Low Rate Platinum ($99 Annual Fee = Net $151)

250

Hey,

Didn't see this one posted so I jumped at the chance. Seems like a free $151 to me.

As stated by sween64, CBA has a better offer, 250 cashback, no annual fee so check that one out if you haven't already.

Eligibility:
To apply for an ANZ Low Rate Platinum credit card, you need to:

  • Be 18 years of age or over
  • Have a good credit rating
  • Be a permanent Australian resident, earning a minimum annual income of $35,000
  • Be a non-Australian permanent resident with more than 9 months remaining on your Visa, earning a minimum annual income of $35,000 or have $50,000 in Australian Authorised Deposit-taking Institution (ADI) accounts

    $151 nett?

    • Is this a big deal?

  • Do you qualify for the $250 Cashback if you already have a no rewards ANZ Platinum Credit Card?

    • Would like to know also. Got the ANZ Platinum card for the 75000 Qantas Points.

  • Compatible with Apple Pay…!!!

You guys must have rubbish credit ratings o.O, does it not show every time you apply for credit? Lol.

    • Why do you say that?

      • Part of the formula for credit ratings is how much credit you have/apply for.

If your applying for this Nd cba cards im sure that would affect your rating. Maybe you all earn more money than me lol.

  • A few months ago ANZ had $200 cashback on a different card ( https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/251794 ) — If you participated in that offer would you still be eligible for this $250 cashback?

I assume so, but the terms say "One offer per eligible customer" and "Only available to new and approved applicants"

  • Did anyone check this out with regard to being eligible if you have already used the ANZ Platinum cashback offer in recent months?

  • I wonder why there's not more up votes? Free money right?

    • I think it's mostly because this deal came out at about the same time:
https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/269838 (Commonwealth Bank $250 cashback when spending $500)

The Commonwealth deal doesn't have a annoying $99 annual card fee that eats in to your profits. People might be conscious of their credit rating being hammered by applications for credit so only apply for one deal.

  • So this essentially gives you a fee-free platinum credit card for roughly 2.5 years (cash back of $250 + annual fee of $99 means 2.5 years of fees will equal cash back amount).

Currently on CBA's Gold card, but paying fees.

  • it appears you can still get this offer if you've already applied for the QFF black ANZ card from the other deal. As long as you dont already hold the low rate platinum card should be fine as confirmed via livechat with ANZ: http://i.imgur.com/lpJjQao.jpg

    • I received the $250 into my card on the 20th Jan 2017, I also have the QFF Black card from the other deal.

      • Do you have to make any purchases or do you just need to be approved and activate the card to receive the $250?

No spend requirements, just get approved and wait a couple of months.
