I recall last time a similar offer came up which also excluded "Harvey Norman" in T&Cs as this does, but I also recall that it still worked at Harvey Norman (i.e. you would get credit)
Just tried using AMEX Connect to add non-AMEX cards and as the title suggests it doesn't work. Error message shown is "Sorry we are unable to process your request at this time, please try again or Contact Us."

Not on my DJs AMEX (I've never bought furniture on it either). I live in Sydney (nowhere near Alexandria though)
