Reviews on Product Review are ways bad.

      • +33

        Except for the good ones.

      • +2

True, can't say for others but I would more likely leave feedback/review something that was bad rather than good.

    • yeah the reviews seem rather brutal on this one…anyone used it? is it really that bad?

      • +1

I have the Braun M-60 and it had good reviews but its still very bad. i have stopped using it.

      • +1

Have one, takes awhile to shave, doesn't to that great a job, but for $10 you can't complain.

        • +25

but for $10 you can't complain.

You can if it's a waste of $10…

        • @jv: If it was a complete waste, yes, but it isn't that bad.

        • +2

@jv: yes I think being friday arvo, I'd rather invest in a $10 6 packs at Dan.

        • +4

          @supabrudda:

That will make your hair grow.

      • Bought one, used it twice and threw it to garbage. Takes forever to shave, and even after forever it's still not good

      • +1

        Yeah it's pretty bad.
It could be that I have thick facial hair that grows whatever way it feels like as I have found all electric shavers I have tried to be rubbish, but this was the worst.

        • This is my experience over my life time, tried a Braun, then a Philishave, then a Remington twin foil, then back to this Braun a couple of months ago. I am either cursed with bad facial hair or they all suck.

Good points: cheap, easy to clean as it's washable, runs on AA batteries so you can use your eneloops

Bad: takes easily 10 minutes for me to shave in front of the mirror, still way off what a razor does, impossible to shave without a mirror or you are guaranteed to look like a (profanity) (as I though it would at least be useful on the run)

All in all, who is that anal about shaving that they can't just wait until the next morning to do a better job with a razor

      • Yes, I've got this model, bought it 3 years ago and use it 2 or 3 times a week and it's still going strong. I'm pretty happy with mine.
I normally use disposable razors as blades give a closer shave, but this nifty little shaver lets me smarten up in the car on the way to the gym or the office in the morning so I don't look like a tramp.
It does a fair job, but definitely not as close as a blade razor.
Paid $18 for mine, very to tempted to buy another one now at this price for when mine eventually carks it.
The twisting cover, the built-in brush, the battery life of 6 months+ are all parts of the delights of this nicely designed shaver. I'm a fan!

    • +11

that might be the reason OP suggested it to gift…

    • +1

I have one of these in my office. It punches WAY above it's price. Really smooth. Well worth it as a backup.

      • +10

Lol @ office, do you suddenly get out the shaver for a 5 o'clock shadow when you see a hot chick =p

        • +3

I didn't say WHERE I shave. But you're right, its for the hot chicks at the office.

    • +6

I was going to buy one but then I read those reviews. Wow, close shave there.

      • that's cutting humour, right there!

  • Great find OP

And to ones that know, you can pick these up for free, in fact 2 of them :)

    • -1

one for my chin and one for my….

      • +2

        Toe? :P

    Hey OP,

""Nothing much to say , simply the lowest possible price on the market.""

But you should say where you get this deal from

      Hello, Mr the earth.

      • I thought he left ages ago. Looks like OZB members not giving him credits is forcing him here to leave comments.

        • +2

all credit here to OP since hes the only one who actually posted it here…looks like it was on that other site for a number of hours now, but I dont bother with those sites … OzB all the way :)

        • +1

@Japius: Earth has stopped posting here for quite some time, but I have seen him always popping in to either point similar posts where he is not mentioned out or advise users to get more details from his deal at buckscoop like promoting it.

    • -4

Some people here don't accept they saw a deal from a comment or you cant prove it. Do you think they will credit another website?

      • or you cant prove it

        They plagiarised the comments…

      • +2

They didn't even try to hide it though, they used exactly the same sentence with the same spacing

        • +6

they used exactly the same sentence with the same spacing

They should have used the Pirate translator !!!

          Th' Jolly Guys

    • Just out of interest: how do you know the OP looked at that? Maybe he or she just looked at TGG site and found the deal himself/herself. Is that not a possibility?

      • +1

        sigh

      • +5

OP directly copied this part from earth's deal.

Nothing much to say , simply the lowest possible price on the market.

        • Oh, OK.

    • Busted!

    • +1

So you left Ozbargain but still stalk it don't you. Kinda sad tbh.

  • +1

I have one that I keep in my gym bag. It shaves ok, but I can tell by the roughness of my stubble the next day that it's not a smooth shave at all. Ok to keep as an emergency travel shaver but wouldn't want to use it often

    • You get what you pay :)

      • Yep sure do

        • +1

I agree with your previous comment, but to be honest I have had similarly bad results with shavers that cost 200 bucks, so it's not necessarily a bad deal for people that want to see if an electric shaver works for them

    • So how close do these shave? Can it be adjusted for diff stubble lengths

      • +1

Close enough, but I'm not a very hairy fella. Not adjustable.

    a god brand to have

    God doesn't shave.

    • +1

      He has beard… ?

    • Not a good shaver apparently, judging by image of (commercial) Jesus.

  • Perfect way for me to use up my at batteries..

  • Should I add Gold Service Extras from $30 for this $10 item? -said no one ever

  • Can I use this to shave my bikini? Anyone has experience with it?

    • +5

Don't think it would work very well on a bikini, probably need an industrial paper shredder or something for that

  • Useful for the missus

  • Damn.. I'm still waiting for my Philips cheapy travel one to arrive from ShoppingSquare last time.. :(

  • +2

    These Brauns are great

Have had its predecessor (same swivel cover) from 1999, then the M30 ten years later, and I've recently upgraded to the M90 (same design, better foil design and a sideburn trimmer). Very hard to beat for the price. They seem to last forever, all of the shavers are in working order, and the replacement foils are cheap.

I shave in the car every day and this is great, offers a close enough shave for the daily grind, if I want an even closer shave and have the time for it I'd just use a razor at home. I never understand why people buy really expensive shavers (the charging dock, self cleaning capabilities etc are just gimmicks and add nothing to the shaving performance).

I don't get how Philips type rotary shave heads work- seems like you'd need to go over the same spot multiple times to get a close shave where you just need to go over the spot once from a Braun (or other brands with a similar head design like a Panasonic)

    • +8

man your car must have as much hair as a floor of a hairdresser from a daily shave haha

      • I put the shaver in a used sunglass pouch thingy which i tip out once a month in some unsuspecting person's coffee… sue me

        • +1

          hair of the dog?

    • +1

I shave in the car every day

      Please, tell me more

      • And I wax in the car every week

        • Brazilian, no less.

same price on ebay. can claim cashreward as well. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/112165842005

    • +1

Yes, The good guys ebay shop

  • Been using this one for the last 6 years or so. Does a great job with decent stubble.
Super reliable and the battery life is great.

At this price, its a no brainer.

  • Burnt my $25 voucher with 3 of these bad (not literally I hope) boys.

  • +1

    Got me one. Thanks Sabric

  • +1

I have been this brand and this shaver over 5 years but only replaced 1 because I lost it :). Its really good, I don't have many beards

    • +1

really? your photo makes me wonder it's worth buying it if you find it that good.

      • Haha, I am Asian so I don't have such beautiful beard. So the shaver has been doing a good job for me.

  • do you use shaving cream/gel with these?

    • No, but there's nothing stopping you

  • Great travel shaver. Batteries last for months

  • I had something similar (not sure if the same brand but definitely same look) but I found it quite bad. It required many passes to shave an area and it was not even a close cut. I actually ended up getting disposable razors for my travels instead.

For 10 bucks and giveaways though, it quite fits the bill.

  • Is this USB2.0 or USB3.0?

  • What can this shave?

    • Use your imagination

      • Hairy tongue?

  • Shaver shop have managed to SHAVE $0.05c off the price
    http://www.shavershop.com.au/online-store/electric-shavers/e…
I'm not sure if its avail in-store however.

Also Woolworths appear to have it too and might be able to price match?

  • I am trying to use my $25 voucher that is ending today but it is coming with a error undefined. can someone help me with what could be the reason

    • are you entering the code in the gift card section? It won't work if you enter it as a promo code.

      • I am entering in the gift card section. initially it was saying undefined to my mobile number as well. now it is stuck on the store credit number. how many digits it will be.

        • not sure about that sorry : ( hopefully someone can help.

        • @17833: worked it out. their webiste is a piece of crap. It didn't work with chrome or Mozilla. I had to do through internet explorer.

    • Website seems to be very buggy tonight, I can't even add anything to my cart.

      • are you trying internet explorer.

        • I was using Chrome/Firefox, but thanks purchasing through IE works!
