    shame no 256 evos

    • I was gonna say the same thing!!

  • SanDisk Extreme 128GB currently at $89, down to $71 with this code. Is $71 a good price or should I wait for Amazon Black Friday?

    • +1

Up a few dollars from last time. Past deals but still a good price. Not sure about Amazon sorry.

      • Thanks for the find, mate. I really expect that a Christmas deal is cheaper than a September deal though, guess I will wait for another sale.

  • Thanks hamza! :)

Just a question guys - I have a DSLR that takes SD Cards (Nikon D5200). Is it ok to buy a MicroSD and use the adapter? Will it have the exact same performance as if I bought the normal SD card?

It's more versatile for me to buy microsd, but if there'll be performance issues in not using a normal sd card in the camera, then I'll have to suck it up and buy an SD.

    • Jumping on the back of this question, Do these EVO's include the adapter to go from micro to normal SD
As i'm in the same boat.

@montorola - I was reading about this the other day, apparently the adapters can slow the write speeds. but my thoughts are, unless you a shooting sports where you need rapid photos.. then I personally don't think its an issue. But im no one, thats just my opinion :)

    • I was looking for same answer but did not find anything that indicates this on googling. I have been using Sandisk/Samsung adapters in a Point-And-Shoot and D3300 for around a year without any problem.

    • The main issue that I have with my D5300 is when taking continuous pics at high resolution. That is why I decided to go with lexar professional 600x speed. if you are just shooting one pic at a time at mid resolution then it doesn't make a difference in my experience.

I use this card with an adaptor and it is slower but only when I take continuous raw shots, it probably loses 1 shot compared to full sized SD cards

They seem to have sold out on the Samsung 64GB EVO Plus MicroSD

    • !$@!! as i was writing the reply above, I had one in my cart. and now they are sold out. ffs!

    • OK they still have it in another auction… but comes to AU $23.96 after coupon now.

      • And the've brought the price up..

        • Of course… they must have been napping this morning to let a few go out at the cheaper price!

        • @Pobman:

Thanks, fixed it up. Maybe they didn't realise the coupon applied on their PC Byte Storage store as it's not included in the main search link or terms for the CHEER20 deal. The next best option is normal PC Byte store for $23.20 after code.

  • Are the Evo Plus quick enough for my new Gopro Hero 5?

      /humblebrag

      • Or my DJI Phantom 4? /wishfulthinking @Santa

      • Did you miss out on the sale last week ;-)

    • +1

Dunno about your GoPro Hero 5 mate, but works perfectly to record 8K videos in my dashcam in my Lamborghini Murcielago :P

      • Thats inbuilt 8k Dashcam right????????????????

        Right?

    • +1

No, the sequential write is too low. Though they arent too shabby with small files so good in phones, but that doesnt apply to GoPro.
Get one on their list https://gopro.com/help/articles/Block/microSD-Card-Considera…

  • I ended up getting the standard Samsung Evo 64gb (48mbs) @ $20 which is more suitable for a budget cherrytrail tablet.

  • are these as fast as the toshiba kyocera?

  • Dammit, where was this deal when I ordered last week from shopping express?

  • can we use this memory card with adapter on Cannon D3200 camera??

    • +1
