I just grabbed this one for $756: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/281451023259, although it's the slightly lower model.

Unfortunately it's the last one left but hopefully they get some more in.

Way eyeing that one for a while, ended up going the XB271HU because I got a decent deal through the wholesaler, only just a touch above this price.

Seems that a lot of people are having good experiences with these now, later build dates don't seem to have much/any Backlight bleed, mines perfect.

  • Do these monitors have HDR enabled yet?

  • Got one from the last sale. Highly recommended to enter the lottery ;)

  • How would these compare with the ~$300 Korean 1440p IPS monitors that can be overclocked to 120HZ? Sure there may be no G-sync and warranty is a gamble, but its a decent saving.

My current one is a QNIX. Only overclocks to about 84Hz, any higher and I get artifacts. Also a pain to set the drivers, etc. after each driver update, which is why I'm upgrading.

  • I put my order in this morning and already received my tracking number from the courier. Hope it reaches me in Melbourne before the weekend.

    • Wow, my order arrived within 24 hours. Sydney to Melbourne.

      • Caved and ordered mine! Did you pay for express post? How did you fair in the lottery? :P

        • I didn't pay for express post, really surprised it got to me in 24 hours. Thankfully I faired ok in the lottery, just some light backlight bleed on the right edge of the screen, cant really complain.

      • Awesome! How are you finding it?

  • Not worth the saving for a panel lottery item, my advice…buy it local so you can take it back if you get one with BLB or IPS Glow. Acer have a better QC than Asus atm but it's still a 50/50 chance. Good luck
