can these be shipped internationally? isnt banggood based in china?

    • +1

Yep what I was thinking, it was discussed in a previous BG deal too https://www.ozbargain.com.au/comment/3988288/redir

      • Looking at the newest comments on that deal and other recent powerbank deals by BG: received, received, received.

It looks like they've found a way around the issue.

        • +1

I received all items I purchased (including powerbanks) in my last deal. Of course it took a while (3-4 weeks I think), but if you're happy to wait…..

  • +1

Can confirm that I've received a 20000mAh Xiaomi Powerbank from Banggood, after Everbuying stopped shipping.

  • this isnt USB C is it?

    • no. only micro. but it's cheaper. Their online store price is ¥79(about AU$16)
      http://www.mi.com/battery2/

      • seeing as i had to give back my USB C device (twice!) I'm glad its not USB C :-)

        • I'm sure you're joking, but have you seen any analysis pointing to USB-C being associated with the Samsung Note 7 fire risk?

        • @Crocfreefree:
          Lets see…
          Note 7 has Type C
          Note 7 Catches fire.
          Samsung recalled the Note 7
Note 5 (which I used to replace the note 7) Doesnt have type C
So I need a non Type C Power bank with QC2.0

This is why I'm happy its not Type C

I loved and miss my N7, but until the N8 comes out I need what I need right now… USB Micro.

Tried to purchase it and when I entered the code it returned: "PAYPAL11 can not be used when making a checkout with Paypal Express payment method."

    • dunno about paypal express but worked for me through the regular website.

      6% topcashback also.

  • What silicone Case model works with this? Is the QC2.0 version dimension the same as the older thin ones?

    • +3

Is the QC2.0 version dimension the same as the older thin ones?

No, this model is 4.2mm thicker than the original 5,000mAh one.

      5,000mAh Micro USB 9.9mm
      10,000mAh Type-C 12.58mm
      10,000mAh Micro USB 14.1mm

      • Oh shame, thought this was the same dimensions as the Pro (USB-C).

Hmm, its so much cheaper than the Pro though, I think I'll pull the trigger

  • Good price, might grab a couple…if only I had enough space to store all these powerbanks

    • +2

      Powerbanks are the new Eneloops!

  • +1

Got hyped abit, thought it was the pro version.

  • +3

Dang, if only it had more than 1 USB output.

    • yeah i wish for 2 output ports

      • Yeah seriously. A 10000 mAH pack is good enough to share with others, and 1 port doesn't cut it. I wouldn't even mind if the 2nd port wasn't QuickCharge (although it would be great if it did).

  • +6

thanks got the black one, cause black runs quicker

  • What is the difference between this and the pro version?

    • This one is Micro-USB while the pro is USB-C

      • The PRO is more expensive but slimmer.
It has micro current charging fuctionality.
The Type-C port is only for input and is a disadvantage actually.

So i believe this is actually better than the pro.
Why to pay more for the pro?

        • The pro USB type-c port works only input?

  • keeps coming up as us $20.37 not US 18.68 any idea why?
    recalculated total myself.
it calcs correctly but doesn't show correct price per time.
    fixed.

    • did you apply the discount code?

      • yes.
        i tried to order 4.
once i put in the discount code it came up as removing 62c per item but when i calculated the full total and divided the number by 4 it worked…

  • I wonder if I use the powerbank to charge itself. Would it fast charge itself?

    • +2

      Yes, it should do that.

Another thought, connect them up in a circle, so they continuously charge each other.

      • +1

        Powerbank centipede

      • Infinite Power.

      • +2

Power = energy. Circle = loop. Power circle = ENELOOP

  • How this one is different to http://www.banggood.com/Original-XIAOMI-5_1V-2_1A-10000mAh-P…

Apologies for my little knowledge in advance!

    • The one in this deal supports Quick Charge 2.0 fast charging

      • Pump Express and VOOC too ;)

    • +1

Also a much better form factor for your pocket!

  • I note that the battery in these are Lithium Polymer, are these safe to carry on board planes?

  • Doesnt seem to work for me, doesnt ship to Australia! Am i doing something wrong? I am using IE + chrome=same issues

  • anyone has this (or other qc 2 power banks)
will the phone and/or the power banks become extremely hot while charging?

    • I own a Romoss polymos 10s which has quick charge, and it doesn't get hot while charging.

      • any link? cheaper than this and has 2 ports out also quick charge both ways?

        • I purchased it from EverBuying back when they shipped to Australia. Not sure where else to get it since Banggood don't stock them anymore.

Also only one port is Quick Charge, the other one is normal.

This has QC 3.0 and 2 ports but is more expensive.
Also the input is not QC only the output for one port is.

        • @techno2000:I've been watching that for months waiting for a deal. How probably will get this xiaomi instead. I like quickie both ways

    • i got the xaomi usb c version .. no heat here… and i use it every day and its constantly plugged in.

  • +1

How does this compare with the other QC?

    http://www.banggood.com/Original-Xiaomi-10000mAh-Bothway-QC2…

    • that one you linked is the pro version.

  • what's the difference between this and the pro?

    • +1

This one is Micro-USB while the pro is USB-C

      • even better i mean not many of us have usb-c devices yet

  • Just on past experience, how long does it normally take to arrive? (Didn't opt for tracking ;) )

    • +2

My last order of a 20000mah Powerbank from Banggood took about a month to arrive.

      • Thanks! Looks like that 7 day minimum is a bit too hopeful haha

  • Does anyone know if cables and charger are included?

    • Micro USB cable will be included. No charger.

  • Say if my phone battery is 2000mAh, does it mean that this unit can be used to charge the phone about 5 times?

    • depends how your phone battery is rated .. the powerbanks are rated at 3.5V i beleive so u gotta check what your phone battery is rated at… probably the same. then you also gotta take into account the power loss in the transfer which can be significant.

    • no not exactly like that.. will be less than 5

  • +1

slight cheaper here, can we use that paypal code anywhere?
    http://www.geekbuying.com/item/Orignal-Xiaomi-Mi2-10000mAh-L…

  • Anyone have any thoughts on the size of the 10,000 mah QC2 versions (not the pro)? I have the 10,000 mah originally and I notice it's 90mm vs the 130mm here. So this is a lot longer. Thinner arguably, but do most find it aesthetically easier working with a smaller, more compact (original) albeit thicker…. or the thin and long style of this version 2??

Would the battery also charge the same phone identically in terms of number of times in theory, given both are 10,000 maH? I am aware the version 2 comes with the ability to charge phones and itself much quicker though? Whether materially quicker I'm not sure.

Would be great to hear feedback as I'm thinking of putting through an order asap for either the original or the version 2 but am stuck on sizing. Buying it for the mrs, but tossing up one for myself too.

  • Abit confused - but does quick charge 2.0 require a phone that is compatible to quick charge? Or will this quick charge any connected phone i.e. my old xperia z3, mrs has an iphone 6 from memory.. etc etC?

    • +1

Quick charge qc is trade mark. Beware some says fast charging but they are not qc just slightly faster than normal.

So the phone need to support. And to quick charge the bank itself you need a charger that can or support qc too. Every thing need to be qc certified.

      • oh ok, so in other words I might as well get the normal version 1 of the 10,000 maH if I prefer that size dimensions over this version 2 - since there won't be any technological difference in charging times of the pack or phone?

The capacity to charge the same phones would be identical between this new version 2 QC 2.0 model and the first?

        • Well I don't own both but newer version should usually normally better than older. Need to ask the technician to get the details….

        • @eisniwre:

ok thanks - or someone who has tried the new.

It seems besides the question whether the output is higher for the same phone given the technology, that there is no other arguable difference between this and the other form anyhow besides dimensions and which you prefer in that sense.

        • @SaberX:

The dimensions are much nicer with this one. The other one is kind of fat.

Plus QC2 maybe handy to have for the future. You can pickup a QC charger on sale for pretty cheap.

Also - not sure if it really matters but perhaps this is newer stock? Not sure if it's better to have a more recently manufactured battery.

        • @Christop86:

ok - I don't have a QC charger, how much are they usually on the cheap?

the other one is fatter, but it takes up less length I guess. I was thinking that a little bit fatter (1 or so cm) was do'able versus something which took up more length? Might be a case of you never know until you try. guess it depends if you have volume/space to put it in but not so much length.

    • does quick charge 2.0 require a phone that is compatible to quick charge?

      Yes.

will this quick charge any connected phone

The power bank will charge, but won't Quick Charge non Quick Charge compatible devices.

Xperia Z3 is QC 2.0 compatible.

iPhone is not QC 2.0 compatible. However, 5V/2.4A will benefit iPhone, not all power banks can output more then 2.1A at 5V.

  • i highly doubt it but i cant find it on the page… it probably doesnt come with the QC 2.0 brick right?

    • No it won't. Just cable

  • Thanks. Got a black version.

  • Great price but are these confirmed genuine? Looking to pull the trigger on a few before I go away for Christmas, and these look great fro the price, if they're not fake.

    • +2

banggood is selling good bang (read: stuffs)

  • +1

damn ,gave up i bought one.

  • soz noob question but does the quick charge thing work with iphone 5s (or 6?)?

    • Quick Charge 2.0 won't benefit iPhone.

From the specs I see above, the 5V/2.4A output will benefit iPhone. Not all power banks can output more than 2.1A at 5V,

  • Anyone manage to find a silicon case for this powerbank yet?

  • Has anyone used this powerbank with Samsung S6 edge? Does it charge fast? The official Samsung power banks are way too expensive. Also S6 has Fastcharge. So not sure.

  • Anyone receive theirs?

    • +1

I'd be surprised if anyone has. Usually takes about 1 month as Richard said.

    • Mine arrived today 2 black 2 silver ordered 1/11 Perth WA

    • Mine arrived today 22/11. Ordered on 2/11.

  • Still waiting for mine

  • Mine arrived yesterday, ordered on 2 Nov.

  • received two days ago, sydney cbd. 20 days is REALLY reasonable i think. we pay like 40% off local stock maybe more.

  • Mine just arrived today… 3 weeks delivery is quite "fast" from China (in my experience)! Previously 4 weeks was the minimum delivery time from that country.

The battery itself seems to be decent build and quality. I'm loving the QC; however, I noticed that when I try to charge the battery (input) and charge my phone (output) at the same time, my phone doesn't charge in QC mode. The instructions were all in Chinese - not much use there for me.

Otherwise, quite happy with the value and quality of this unit.
