Wow these are getting so cheap :O

    God DAMN that is cheap…

    Must resist.. must… wait… for… 1080Ti… HNNNNNNNNNG

At this price you will not lose much when you sell your card when the 1080ti is released, i sold my asus 980ti for $700 when the 1080 was released. But you may have trouble convincing buyers about Zotac especially with no local support, zotac will even refuse to accept to post the card back to you at your own cost. Amazon support is good but im not sure if there warranty is transferable.

Decent advice for people who can't wait. I'm waiting to see what Zen and Vega have to offer in 2017 before I pull the trigger on a new rig, but man these price drops don't make it easy.

Im happy with my gtx 1070 but i think the 1080ti will be a good upgrade to ensure stable 60fps at 4k in most games (Assuming it will be the same performance of the titan):)

      • $700? wow thats a really good price

i sold my evga 980ti for $650 but that was right on release week and 1070/1080s were still hovering at $700/$1000 on amazon/newegg/etc

waitin for 1080ti too as no games are pushing my 1070

        • Actually i just checked my ebay history and discovered that i sold it for $869(I was the cheapest one on that card) :) But that card was top of line Asus card(Asus matrix platinum), but what i actually end up getting in my pocket is little over $750 considering the ebay+paypal fees and shipping and insurance. You can always get more money selling your stuff on ebay but the risk of scammers and dealing with bad customer and lost/damaged shipping is questionable. I would rather sell my stuff locally for $50 or $100 less than what i get from eBay.

I keep forgetting that this is way overkill for my needs and that my R9 280x is fine for my 1080p monitor.

After the ridiculous launch prices, this almost seems like a reasonable price…

I'm in the same boat I want to get a 1080 but can't confirm I'd have any benefit upgrading my r290 when I'm only ever going to play on my 1080p tv screen.

      • +1

Woah….so there are ppl like me out there. I'm using my R9 290 Tri X cooler version from Sapphire. And I pretty much max out at 1080p even in Battlefield 1. But this price drops are just so tempting…I really need to just wait for the Zen and Vega series of cards.

        • Stay strong, brothers!

We can wait until we actually need to upgrade and spend the $784 on something we actually need…

Count me as another person who wants this for 1080p. I mean, 1080 is in the name so it's perfect for that resolution right?

You can smell the 1080ti coming :)

Good deal but it's the base Zotac 1080

  • got my zotac amp extreme 1070 in July, rock solid card, i dont OC it and 55c under gaming. what a beast.

  • zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz im making a gaming PC around Christmas because im starting summer work in December and want to save up that money to buy the stuff…it seems like I should buy this now but I dont have my own money atm, I could borrow some off mum. Is that worth it to do that or should I just wait as there may be a better price for this late December. I assume boxing day sales should also possibly provide a lower price. If I had to build something now I would definitely buy it though..

Prices is going down everyday especially when there is more rumors about the 1080ti. This price is great but still there is more room for lower prices(Local stock is around $830 with ebay %20 discount). I dont see any reason for you to borrow money to buy this card especially if you dont have a PC to plug this monster card in(Why buy a card and let it collect dust?). More discounts is coming near Christmas and Santa may even have a card waiting for you :)?

      • OK thank you a lot for that. Yea maybe im just overthinking it, because I seem to remember RAM prices actually going up the last time I bought them, I guess RAM is an exception in all these sales and stuff. But yea thats true no point getting it and keeping it doing nothing for a month. Thank you for your reply sir.
