  • These are awesome I got 2 last time.

    • Digging mine too. Prefer it over the 16:10 more expensive model I also got. It passes all LCD tests I did really well besides gradient banding.

  • The 16:10 monitors are also on the outlet. Dell(TM) UltraSharp U2412M 24 Monitor with LED

    • god damn missed it. was it $211 too?

      • +1

        yes

      • No, it was $311

        • +1

what.. it's been $258 (and even $210) As New and $215 Refurbished before

        • +3

          @CVonC: apologies, I misread, the newer u2415h 16:10 was $311

      • +2

It was $213 and only 2 available.

  • Thanks! Ordered one, great monitors!

  • Great prices this time!

what does the 'as new' condition mean?

    • It means it's not new but is in new condition.

      • It means it's completely new in the box and sealed. New is new. Unopened box and all.

        • -2

It's not 'new'. It's 'as new'.

        • @nexus4: It's brand new. 100% never been opened, sealed box.

        • @cnut:

You should contact Dell then and ask them to correct their website.

        • @nexus4: shrugs I guess they have to list it since it's cancelled orders or something from their warehouse.

I bought a few and all were brand new, never opened or touched. Including accessories.

        • You're wrong. 'As New' means returned products from enterprise customers. They can be used, but are usually less than a month old.

        • @niner: sauce? Never mind saw it below with the 100 items you got. I must have just been lucky.

    • The one I received last time was brand new.

  • got one last time. it's awsome

  • what's the difference between as new and refurb?

    • "As New" are usually less than a month old.

Refurbished ones are older than a month. Little difference to be honest. They'll last for more than a year.

    • As New have not been used. Usually returned business orders. Refurbished have been opened/used. Shouldn't have a problem with either..

      • Shouldn't have a problem with either..

Errr, no. After I returned two of my rather expensive UltraSharps, keeping the third, they appeared on Outlet. I didn't return them because I didn't have problems with them. At refurbished prices, perhaps their new owners throught them good value, nevertheless.

      • As new can be used. Wish people would stop posting this nonsense.

I've bought over 100 items from the dell outlet. Some of the 'As New' products have been opened and used.

  • Those of you who have these monitors, how do they handle 4K?

    • +3

It is my understanding that they have a maximum resolution of 1920 x 1080 which is 1080 res not 4k. Let me know if you have any other questions. I've bought two of these and my room mate bought one too.

      • +1

        Thanks.

        • +5

Gonna have to pay more than $400 for a 4k monitor. lol

      • +1

        How are they for gaming?

        • +1

They're fine. There are better choices if gaming is the only primary concern, but it's not life-threateningly bad.

        • @ProspectiveDarkness: So bad response time then? Shame.

The deal seems to have expired anyway so I guess I'll have a look around.

          Thanks anyway.

        • Yeah, better suited to an extra monitor than for gaming.

        • @WillRay92:

Well, if you're comparing against other non-TN panels it's not a bad choice according to the TFT Central review:

Response times were about as good as you can get from an IPS panel at the moment without introducing a lot of overshoot and this made the U2414H a decent IPS option for gaming, especially when you consider the incredibly low / non existent signal processing lag as well.

They might get restocked at the same or a similar price in future as well (Y)

        • @MHLoppy: Hmm, interesting.

        • -1

ALL MONITORS that don't have 144 HZ and 1 ms response time are bad for gaming in my books.

You want to play like the pros do? Get the right hardware to begin with. High refresh rate, low latency monitors.

        • +1

          @niner:

You want to play like the pros do?

          Lol

        • @niner: Uh, there's a difference between having a shitty monitor and "playing like the pro's do". I said that I want to play at 1080p 60fps, I don't care if it's…anything that you mentioned.

  • any of these good for photography/video work?

    100% adobe rgb?

    • +1

Most of them are 96% sRGB.

      This one is 99%.

      Dell UltraSharp 30 Monitor with PremierColor | UP3017 30"

    • Got one. Works fine for most amateur needs perfectly.

  • P2417H gone just as I started a chat lol -_-

    • Not your day, is it?

      • eh it was $167 but it was $159 last time.. was looking to negotiate anyway ><

  • That didnt last long…

    U2414H sold out

  • Yeah I picked another one up, gotta be quick - good price for this monitor if you're just looking for a good standard 1080p with a nice stand and connectivity.

  • Managed to grab one, has a lot of positive reviews.

    • Yeah it's not the newest model, but the thin bezel and good features make this a great 1080p monitor.

  • That was quick, well done lads. Great monitor with thin bezel.

I got two last time. Seems the Displayport daisy chaining issue isn't a problem anymore. (On my Win10 PC anyway)

  • Bugger missed out

  • I got 3 last time awsome monitors.
    I'm also using Daisy chain..

Does anyone else have flickering issues sometimes on the last monitor in the chain.

Swapped DP cable on it and seems to have reduced a lot but still happening now and again.

  • Is the only way to find out about future availability? Notification via email? Keep refreshing that webpage? Obviously ozb deals is an option but y'all mad quick.

  • fwiw there are 12 E2417H new @ $160.

    • Plug and view: The monitor is compatible with most legacy and current PCs via VGA and DisplayPort connectivity.

      No hdmi?

    • +1

The U and P series screens are DELL's high-end models - I wouldn't bother with the E series, they're just plain old monitors.
