I take it you guys are going to duck into Coles this week?

  • +5

    Sure beaks boring old turkey.

  • Good luck getting any. I'm guessing they never police the allowable purchase numbers on these because there's always a big empty space in the freezer when I go to get one of these duck deals. Has anyone actually been able to buy a duck at half price?

    • +3

last time they were half price i maanaged to get a few at my local like 2-3 days into the sale. maybe raincheck it if you cant find stock

Got 8 last time but freezer can only accommodate 5 this time.

    • I think restaurant owners go in and buy entire trolleys full. Last time this duck special was on I saw one lady with a trolley stacked to the brim. For some reason I doubt she'd have a freezer at home to accommodate it all.

    • You can call the store first to see if they have any in stock. I've always been able to grab a couple. Sometimes you may need to ask staff if there are any in the back.

If you go late on Tuesday night, often the Wednesday sale prices have been applied, especially if the yellow ticket has already gone up…

    • Pro tip!

    • Yep, noticed this always happens at Broadway (NSW) which closes at midnight, good way to get popular deals before they run out of stock.

  • Quacking deal.

    • it was on the back of the catalogue. I went to my local coles today, they had entire fridge full of ducks.
