Yeah but a few minutes is all it takes to lather up some soap and use a disposeable. Takes me less than a minute if I've shaved 24 hours ago.
I keep one at the office - works well for a quick clean up if I have to leave for an after work dinner or meeting or for those annoying times when you get to work and realised you've missed a spot.
Using disposables as a permanent solution is lazy. $5 pack will only last a month max.
I got one from the last special and am very happy with the quality of the shave. Only downside compared to my old one (which actually is still going strong after 15 years): it does not have a trimmer.
What batteries does it take?
Will it work with NiMH rechargeables?

Finally have a use for my Eneloops :)
NiMH tends to go flat in a couple of weeks, unless it's been used regularly for small pulses (eg in a clock).
Eneloops etc should be better

The Philips PQ206 is not waterproof. This Braun is and therefore easier to clean.

Never tried shavers. Razors work for a long time for me as I don't have lot of fast growing beard.

Not withstanding the "mixed" reviews of this shaver, I'm glad to see it back to the $10 price. A fair risk/reward bet for me. Will grab one for my travels and at $10 I won't complain if it takes a few minutes more to get the job done. No extra weight for a power pack and buy the batteries on arrival.
