    Wireless? Cordless?

    • +9

Made me chuckle when I saw wireless

    • +2

Yeah it doubles as an old school radio.

  • +13

I have one, runs on 2 x AA (gee need more eneloops!). Got mine from Amazon, keep it in the car for when I realise I have a little too much shadow on the way to a gig. I have a really expensive Philips in the house and I reckon this does almost as good a job. At $16 that's a great price for a handy shaver.

    • thanks for the good review, at 90g this is perfect for travelling too.

    • Eneloops with their FLAT 1.2[5]V provide grunt - like a diesel!

Alkis run down from 1.5V to around 1V.
To keep up my voltage, & cutter speed, I use one FLAT 3.2V LFP AA with a dummy cell.

(I believe a full years shaving may be suggested for cutter/foil operation.)

A far better price than my buy from Amazon!!!

      Thanks

  • I'm a blade runner but useful for people who face power.

  • What if I only need to shave one head?

    • +13

Just shave the head that you do most of your thinking with.

  • -1

I only have 1 head and I don't even want to shave it.

  • Anyone know how quick these going to be delivered to VIC?

Edit: no worries. Got it from other deal

what is the wireless for? connect to smartphone app to track ?

    • +5

It has built-in face and beard mapping technology. You attach the shaver to a drone and then you have to navigate it remotely via smartphone. Requires great skill and precision to master it.

  • 2 heads are better than 1

  • +6

I have one of these from 6 years ago, still going strong

    • +1

Yep, my dad also. Has got a lot of use out of it and loves it. Keeps it in his car.

  • How often do should one oil these?

  • +4

Bought one. My father had one similar like this and it lasted years. Philips makes some really good electronic items that last very long time.

    • So how close does this thing shave?

Is it just a set length it cuts or can you adjust the length you want (I.e. If you want 0.5mm shave one day, or a 3 day beard another day)

      • +1

doubt it; its a $16 shaver.

had a basic phillips one previously and they werent a clean clean shave but did the job

  • Can anyone comment on the quality of the lightning cable?

    • +1

If it really is MFI, then it will be high quality.

  • +2

If you use alcohol spray to clean the blades, they will stay sharp and last many years. Great price for this handy shaver. Thanks.

  • How long is delivery , ordered one thanks

    • +2

Got the M60 and it's rubbish. Stay away from those "shaving foil" type shavers I would say.

      • +2

Yep second this. They are terrible

        • I got the m60 when it was this price at Woolworths, it ain't that bad, takes me 10 minutes to shave with a mirror, but trying to shave without one is impossible, in what way is this better?

        • +2

          @Jackson:

For starters these have individual shaving heads. I found the shaving foil on the M60 pulled on the hair and you really had to push hard and go over the area few times. All that only ended up irritating the skin so just gave up on the damn thing after a couple of go's.

        • @dins: i have found that the be the case also, however last time I used one of these it was the same (although it was a long time ago

        • +1

          @Jackson:

Yep sorry I wasn't clear which part is the bad part.
Its the shaving foils, I just find I don't get a consistent shave using it with the 'foil' as dins mentioned

        honestly tip of the hat

Bought 3 for myself and gifts

  • +1

Thanks Op. Bought shaver. Handy for travel.

    • +1

I always use razors but maybe I should get one in case I travel somewhere with no water.

  • +9

    • +6

      That's the spirit.

    • same here - my first electric shaver :)

PS - i paid with paypal and as my first ShoppingSquare purchase did not have an account. It said to use the same paypal email and password when creating an account but i did not use my same details and the order went through. No way am i going to use my paypal password with email address as a login for a online store.

  • +1

damn, literally just what i needed. cant believe i missed this one - surely shavers cant be that popular

    • +2

Clean balls are in right now

  • +2

    Blade or bust.

  • Bought a bunch of the cables - hope they actually are MFI and decent quality. DCE ones were MFI but pretty fragile.

  • Cables are still in stock.

  • Dang. I missed out!. Need one when I'm travelling.

  • +2

The Shaver is back in Stock. Ordered 2.

  • +2

    smooth balls, here i come

  • how long does it last on each pair of AA? not a fan of electronics that need buy-separately batteries in 2016. :/

    • +1

Philips brought it out especially for Ozbargainers to make use of their stockpiled eneloops.

      • haha i must be one of the only OzB'ers who doesn't have a room full of eneloops lying around. haven't bought batteries in years.

        • Wow, that's an admission. What do you put in your remote controls, smoke alarms, torches etc?

        • @blibster: late reply, sorry, i guess the short answer is i don't use those things very often.
long answer: smoke alarms are mains powered, remotes and torches etc don't need their batteries replaced very often so they've been replenished from a 16-pack in the back of some drawer for a while now. my keyboard uses rechargeable AA. i can't think of anything else i use that doesn't use an inbuilt battery.

so, i do have some batteries, but I'd certainly prefer to avoid using them, especially for things that need them replaced often.

    Cheers! Sick Deal!

  • so these are much better than those braun ones with the foil single head?

edit; you need an account to order :(?

  • Is the shaver any good for someone who likes to let their facial hair grow a little?

  • +1

    Grab 2. thanks!

    • +1

      same, cheers Op

  • +1

Has anyone got any updates for your order?

  • +1

The Shaver is back in stock but the postage is $3.95 not $1 otherwise I would be buying it

  • I asked when they're going to ship it. I was told they need 8 - 15 working days handling time before they ship it. It's just atrocious.

    • you can buy it from BigW a lot faster. but if you want the special price, just wait a bit longer.

I'm presently on holiday in Kuala Lumpur and was checking ozbargain one night in my hotel room and read this post. After reading some comments here and not bringing my blades here with me I thought I'd see if I could buy one here. I tracked one down here at Sogo department store for approximately $23aud. Just thought I'd let people considering this to get one. It's a great little shaver. I've used blades for 20 years cos I hated powered shavers, but this little beauty has changed my mind. Its really small and compact so great for packing in my toiletries bag. As I'm on holiday I shave every couple of days and it cuts my tough old whiskers easily. I'm only using energizer batteries which seem fine so far. Look forward to putting some eneloops in when I get home. it's well worth $23, but it's a bargain if you can get it for less here. Get one people, you won't be disappointed

    • +1

Thanks what an excellent review :) I'm glad so many people are happy with this product

  • Anyone received theirs? If so, how did it arrive - Australia Post or a random courier?

May grab one but unsure whether to ship to my parcel locker or not.

    Thanks.

  • Still waiting for my despatched email. Ordered on 2 Oct.

  • Ordered last week. No dispatch email. No updates at all. Hopefully no problems.

    • Finally got the dispatch email and invoice today

  • Dispatch notice received today. That took ten days, so far.

  • Still haven't received my order. These guys are extremely slow.

    Won't order from them again.

    • they're usually quite long anyway, I highly recommend BigW if you don't like waiting.

  • +3

Received despatch notification on 0ct 8. Still haven't received shaver.

    • +1

I still haven't received it yet… Have you got it yet?

      • +1

same here, got the notification like 10 days ago and received nothing :(

        • +1

it's from China/HK so it will take 3 weeks for delivery min.

  • Thanks OP! Needed a handy potable for when the wet-shave isn't convenient. If it takes a while to arrive I can always think of it as a Christmas present to the one I love from the one I love

STILL HAVEN'T RECEIVED MY SHAVER!! Ridiculous. No communication, nothing. This company is just criminal. I would advise everyone to avoid these guys.

    • Same here - just realised this morning and thought i would check the thread. Has anyone received?

Just checked order and said has been shipped 12/10/2016 from Hong Kong and should get before 2016-10-27

      • No communication, nothing. Just take your money and that's it.

  • Thanks good to know what I'm not the only one. Not too hard up about the crappy delivery time considering price and how far Xmas is away. Better get it before Xmas tho!

  • I wanted it before I went on holidays but that may not happen now it seems. Where do I even find the tracking number?

  • Wish they would hurry up; at this rate I may form a ZZ Top tribute band.
