    Wow awesome price!

    • Gives me a good excuse to get some GiffGaff SIMs from the UK too (£0.01)

  • Do you need a UK wall plug converter?

    • Same question here before I press the button.

    • I'd assume so.

    • Yes - but you can charge toothbrush in case just with any micro usb cable/charger you have lying around d

    • yes, you do, it will come in the sealed box without additional au plug, bought it during last lightning deal, the brush itself is amazing…

  • Thanks! bought this now and this deal yesterday; https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/277174

One for morning and one for night!

    • Use the phillips for upper teeth and oralb for lower teeth.

      • +8

If you have teeth in your lower regions you should stop brushing them and see your GP immediately.

        • If you stop brushing them, you'll need a trip to the dentist too.

  • Can anyone recommend a compatible head to go with this? The orignals are £20.99 for four.

Why don't you just brush your teeth with sandpaper? The original genuine ones are designed and tested to work properly with the original genuine base and to not cause excessive wear whilst performing a proper clean yet you want to cheap out and ultimately spend thousands on dental bills.

      • +17

Sounds like something straight from their marketing department.

        Are you Epsons ink director?

Soot may do a better job, if that's to your taste. Do you ever use any non-OEM parts for your printer, car or whatever?

Soot may do a better job, if that's to your taste. Do you ever use any non-OEM parts for your printer, car or whatever?

Do you have any idea how easy it is to damage your teeth? Why buy a fake brush head made of unknown materials that hasn't been tested and made in unhygenic conditions? Ignore all the records because they are performed with genuine heads.

What's the cost per year of genuine heads? $20? What's the cost of having a single tooth resurfaced? $200-300?

I'll say it again, if you spend hundreds of dollars on a toothbrush and skimp on the heads to save a few dollars you're an idiot because you are going to be to be up for thousands of dollars in dental work. You may as well buy manual home brand toothbrushes as they will do a better job and will save you heaps.

And yes I generally use OEM on my cars especially when safety related otherwise it's from KNOWN manufacturers not some backyard operation in China.

Has this ever happened… like ever? Like do you have evidence that plastic bristles will remove the enamel from your teeth? What makes you think they've been tested in unhygenic conditions, or whether that makes a difference anyway given your brush is probably infested with bacteria right now?

So confused by this strangely specific alarmist attitude.

Yes. Look at the comments for the Kogan brushes on product review. And look at the comments for the last Kogan brush heads on OzBargain.

Like do you have evidence that plastic bristles will remove the enamel from your teeth?

Ask your dentist, why do you think so much testing is performed on brushes and oralb have pressure sensors to prevent damage.

What makes you think they've been tested in unhygenic conditions, or whether that makes a difference anyway given your brush is probably infested with bacteria right now?

Manufactured in unhygenic conditions using unsafe plastics and contaminated with faecal matter. These knockoff brush heads were tested in the UK years ago and all were found to be contaminated.

So confused by this strangely specific alarmist attitude.

Anyone with common sense can see that using knock off brush heads is stupid.

By your reckoning this applies to the 300+ customers who'd reviewed this and had given it 4-5 stars

Do you keep your toothbrush in the bathroom? [Cause it probably has shit on it too.] (http://www.discovery.com/tv-shows/mythbusters/mythbusters-da…)

          You're being alarmist.

        • @truemana:

Do you keep your toothbrush in the bathroom?

Yes inside a cupboard and we don't have a toilet in the bathroom.

          You're being alarmist.

Am I? A toothbrush manufactured of unknown plastics in a backyard facility with zero hygiene and with traces of faecal matter on all samples tested? You may be happy sticking that in your mouth but I would only buy from a known manufacturer that undergoes testing and manufactured in a clean facility. And one that I know will not damage my teeth through excessive wear or failure.

The original heads do last a long time. Worth getting. I see they have packs of 8 for 32 pounds. Philips do other cheaper ones apart from the Diamondclean.

    • Really cheap on ebay. They won't be as good, but the amount saved more than makes up for the quality loss.

      I use genuines though.

If your dentist charges you zero you may be correct but for the rest of us who have to pay a fortune for dental work I doubt there will be any savings to be had after a few months of use.

I want to kill myself from buying from Shavershop. (Although I think the warranty is important as last one was not working twice in 2 years)

    • +3

I bought mine from US and philips in australia ad no problem replacing it for me when I had a fault.

      • Does it mean it has worldwide warranty or was that a goodwill replacement? If it is a goodwill replacement, mileage may vary.

        • +1

I assume it was worldwide warranty. I barely communicated anything to them, just a receipt and the description of the problem and they sent out a new toothbrush. It was the best warranty claim I have done. Also it was in the last month of the 2 year warranty.

        • @Mechanist: Thanks for that. And is it 2 years warranty or less?

        • @dealsucker: 2 years. I claimed at 23 months

      • Did you still need to show a receipt?

        • You always need to show a receipt with a warranty claim

With 2 x AMEX cards I bought 2 of these from Harvey Norman on weekend. They scanned at $299, so bought 2 x brush head replacement to bring each purchase over $300.

      With the $50 Phillips cash back, $30 Harvey Norman voucher and $100 AMEX cash back brought each toothbrush to $119;

      http://www.harveynorman.com.au/hair-body-care/dental-care/el…

      • The price has been increased to 319 at hn

        • They were advertised as $319 on both website and the store but scanned at the old price of $299, fyi.

          Store was HN Broadway

        • @gsmMASHA:
          Gonna go there today:)

        • @gsmMASHA:

Good price if you don't mind the black colour.
I grab the rose-gold which never on sale…

      • Hope you price matched the replacement heads (myer had them on sale) or price matched the unit with myer @ $294

      • How do you get amex deals on both cards? I added second card in my account but can't add it on both card.
Should I open second amex connect account instead?

        • Manual enrollment if available. Otherwise separate account.

If you are AMEX issued, you have to have separate account anyway.

  • "This item does not ship to Australia. Learn more"

    Shame, great price.

    • Did you choose the one that's linked?

      • yep :(

    • Just bought a black one without any issues shipping to Australia

      • Hmm, weird! Just changed my shipping address from residential to PO Box and now it works. Lolz

      • yes, no problem to order.

  • Limited to order only 1 per colour!

  • Oh man, that purple colour is niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiice. Shame it's not included :(

  • Thanks… Grabbed a black one.

Thanks - have the black myself but just scored a Rose Pink for my girlfriend

  • Just bought 3! Great Gift for Family & friends Thank you!

  • +2

Oh boy that charger glass and the usb charging case, incredible.
Alas, unjustifiable until my still relatively new Oral B 7000 dies first :(

  • +1

    Is it an international warranty?

  • The best toothbrush you will ever use.

  • I got one of these from the us 3 years ago. still going strong! shaver shop/ David jones do the replacement heads. you can charge from micro usb and a usb charger fine.

  • +3

Great price if you're after this particular model with all the bells and whistles. But if you want a bargain you're better off just getting the $80 base model. The motor is the same, the base model just doesn't have all the different 'modes' which I've never used anyway.

    • I have the base model, which I purchased for under 20 bucks from Big W a while ago. Great brush but haven't seen anything for that price since then

      • Nice buy. Under $20 is insane and surely below cost price. I've never seen them below $55 myself.

        • Me neither, and I have been looking out for 2 years now. After getting the first one and thinking this leaves the other type for dead I wanted to get one for a family member. Even 55 is a deal TBH as on ebay the handle on its own costs that much from China. I am thinking of getting one of those since they could just charge on mine.

However I don't see why anyone would pay 138 let alone the rrp when on can be had for less than half price. The travel case is a nice touch and so is the glass, but you actually don't want to leave these things on charge all the time, battery lasts ages and it wouldn't be good for the battery's longevity to have them sitting on 100% charge

  • What is the base model for $80 - the cheapest i could find is the kids model.. based in adult is double that price.

  • +2

What makes this better than a $20 Oral-B? Is it really worth the extra $120?

    • +1

The head doesnt spin, it just vibrates.
The charging is a little nicer because it doesnt have to sit on a peg, and it also has a usb charging case.

Whether you prefer the spinny heads or the buzzy head is really just personal taste, there are pros and cons for each.
I have both and currently gone back to manual brush.

    • +10

This seems to be the only true ozbargain question here. A quick google and it seems the jury is still out on which is better. Yet, you're all slamming down $140 on a toothbrush when a $20 one is just as good (maybe even better)? You should all cancel your memberships to this site. For shame! For shame! :P

      • Yet, you're all slamming down $140 on a toothbrush when a $20 one is just as good

It's worse than all the times we upvote $800 gaming GPUs. At least a GTX 1080 is, objectively, slightly better than a $250 GTX 1060. Even if the difference is honestly just a subtle improvement in visuals in some games…

  • OMG best price I've seen…. got one rose gold… thx OP!!

    • I think the Rose Gold ones are out of stock… Only see Pink at the price…

      • I placed the order this morning while all the colors were in stock except for the purple one

  • Got mine about 2 months ago after my oral B sure, this thing leaves my teeth feeling much better. Highly recommended at this price

  • Thanks fellow ozbers for upvoting the deal. As the op, your upvotes impulse me to place an order for my partner which means i will have to stick with my oralb until i finish all 4 replacement brushheads.

  • Can anyone confirm what warranty there is?

  • Does anyone have any comparisons between this and the colgate Proclinical A1500?

  • Good deal! Was looking at one on eBay yesterday that would've come to $180 after receiving the $50 cashback.

Order two which comes to $134 each!

Only $40 more than Amazon - Benefit - quicker delivery, no ugly big UK to AUS plug….. very tempted - but still read that their Plaque Defense model is just as good, without the fancy charging glass and features you may not use, and under $100 also tempted
      http://www.shavershop.com.au/online-store/oral-care/electric…

      • Don't. It's a Nimh battery and half the jiggles (32000 vs 62000). LiIon battery alone is worth the extra.

    • just bit the bullet and got one from amazon. 50 bucks savings is worth the hassle and risk.

  • I was a fan of these until the battery in my OralB 5000 died. These scum bags have gone out of their way to make the batteries difficult to replace. For that reason I'm boycotting OralB and Philips.

    • Did you used to be able to replace the batteries? That's pretty cool way to save money.

      • To my knowledge, you never could.

    • I was a fan of these until the battery in my OralB 5000 died. These scum bags have gone out of their way to make the batteries difficult to replace. For that reason I'm boycotting OralB and Philips.

How do you know the battery died and it wasn't the motor or electronics? They are sealed to prevent water ingress but you still have seals that wear out from use or prematurely from too much pressure applied during brushing. They're not designed to run forever and oralb quote an average life of between 3 and 5 years.

If you really want to replace the battery your can do it easily enough.

      • Slowly got weaker and weaker until it died.

        • Slowly got weaker and weaker until it died.

My first one in the 90's did this and when i took it to the service agent he showed me I'd been pressing too hard and water had leaked inside.

  • I bought one from amazon UK and it stopped working after one year. couldnt get it replaced here. I'd buy local next time.

    • +2

Why didn't you send it back to amazon? They replace everything.
Had a HTC M8 once from Amazon Germany which stopped working after 20 months. Contacted the support team who told me to send it back to them. Got a full refund of purchasing price as they didn't sell the model anymore.
