      especially the 35mm!

  • That's a ripper price for the 35.
If I didn't have the Nikon version would be all over it.

These guys are good too…had same day shipping for a sigma 50-100mm a few months back.

  • arrhhhh tempted

  • Are you serious? That's way too cheap :'( …

FYI the Sony mount is an A mount (not E mount).

  • excellent price for 35 art!!

  • Canon mount 35mm out of stock

  • wow i have never seen a 35mm for that cheap!
    its cheaper than secondhand!

  • Nikon 35mm out of stock :(

SIGMA 70-200mm F2.8 EX DG OS HSM LENS for $990 as well after discount… crazy cheap for a 2.8 stabilised telephoto zoom

    • yes, very tempting

    • Does anyone know if the stabilisation happens within the lens, camera body or both? The reason I ask is that I have a converter.

      • +1

        lens

      • It's in the lens on that one. If you have a body with stablisation already it probably won't need to be turned on

        • I shoot mainly video (and do 100% of my stabilisation in composition software such as nuke, Aftereffects etc). The reason the lens interests me is that you get quite a bit of jitter when shooting at high shutterspeeds handheld which I suspect could be solved with the stabilised lens.

        • @theworks:

The other option is a glidecam or other type rig, that will give a stable platform once it's balanced but it's not ideal for everything. The OS on these lenses at the long end is usually more for photography, but it will still be helpful for video.

        • @DJR9000:

I've tried glidecams and they are more trouble than they are worth. You CAN get a good result but you often need multiple multiple takes but that is only if it has been properly balanced for that particular lens. Even then it can come off as amatureish.

    • I was hoping for the 50-100 f1.8 but I think I'll pull the plug on this!

  • Came here all excited only to realise that it's the 18-35 f/1.8 that I wanted - lol

Just as well, I've already bought a Lumia 950, copy of Old Man Logan and had Pork Belly for lunch so I probably shouldn't spend too much more today.

    • it's the 18-35 f/1.8 that I wanted

      it's $789.65 + delivery @ DigiDirect atm.

  • well that didnt last long 35mm canon mount gone

  • That's an insane price. Would of bought one straight away but they're all sold out :-(

Paid about this much on Gumtree used 2 years ago! Ripper price for the 35, a brilliant all round classic lens, I always say this to anyone, invest in good lenses and you won't regret it, won't change much in price and has great resale value because the technology is almost timeless.

  • I bought a 17-55 f2.8 OS HSM for $329, niiiiiiiiiiiiice

    • yeah that's a heaps good price!

    • I like it, seems very good for that price!

  • I hired some canon L series glass last year for a shoot and found some issues (due to being hire gear) so swapped them for Art glass. Really nice glass. Highly recommend!

Shame about the low stock levels, I tried to buy the Canon version of the 35mm Art earlier this morning and it went out of stock while I was going through the checkout. Too slow - such an amazing price!

    • -1

Earlier this morning, it was in stock till 25-Nov-16 13:48:38 AEDST

      • Ok timelord, I guess you know better than I do.

Notice the gap in sales between 12:21 and 13:24 - it went out of stock during this period then a few more must have been added. My timezone is AEST therefore 12:21 AEDST was 11:21 & qualifies as 'earlier this morning'.

Thanks for your assuming & uninformed comment.

Thanks OP, got the 50/1.4 for Canon.

All Simga 35mm f/1.4 art are not available. I doubt they had any in stock. Did anyone have any luck buying one?

    • I did… Nikon mount

      • -1

Might of been the only one. Just checked the 50mm Nikon, two in stock of which on has been sold out the last hour, making 1 more available. Yet they call it a sale but only have 2 lenses available.

        • The deal was up for almost 2 hours before the stock had sold out (and was available prior to that), and it's not like the store itself posted the deal here anyway.

People above posted they got units.

          @Smigit:
Go and check sales history before you comement and downvote me. They had only 2x Nikon 50mm art in stock available!!! You just talk without facts or evidence

        • @Winston100s: Who says I down voted you? It wasn't me if you want to get into talking about facts and evidence.

I'm not claiming they had heaps of stock, I'm saying people had time to make the purchase after this was posted. People above said they made purchases, and people below have posted that more stock has been added.

        • @Winston100s: according to sales history for the Nikon mount, there was 25 sold today

  • Disappointed I couldn't find a Sony mount :(

    Upvote for the find though!

  • Wow nice price on the 35mm. Roughly same price I bought it for when the dollar was above parity.

  • This item is out of stock.

    crazy???

  • If only it were e mount.

    :/

  • Wow this is sooo cheap. Bought the 35mm Nikon from these guys 2 months ago during the 15% eBay sale for $722.

  • spewing no more canon stock of the 35mm

i used to have the canon 1.4 in 50mm, how much better is the sigma to that? IIRC i paid about 600 back in the day, is this worth the extra?

  • +1

The 35mm f1.4 for Canon is back in stock, currently 6 left.

    • Thanks, got one Canon-mount Sigma Art 35mm f1.4 for my MC-11 adapter and Sony cameras.

  • missed it again:( Anyway of getting real time alerts for stock level updates?

Thanks, OP, managed to grab a couple of lenses this time.

  • Anything m43?

  • hello guys, any recommendation for tripod around $100-200? or $250? thanks

    • If you're quick, grab this one from BH Photo (offer expires 1am AEDST):

      Manfrotto BeFree CF

    • Hi I'm using SIRUI carbon fibre tripod and its affordable and very light. I thought that it not be as strong till I hung on it holding onto the ball head. And I weigh 70kg! I paid about $250 when I went to Singapore.

  • I accidentally bought a Sony mount SIGMA 17-50mm F2.8 EX DC HSM. Actually own a Nikon. If anyone is willing to trade for any reason let me know :)
