  • I wish this year's Sony's weren't so crap for gaming.

My current one is superb, has virtually no lag at all - but also no 4K, HDR… :\

    • I thought the X8000D is good for gaming.
There was an awesome bargain sale on for them last week.

      • Hope so.. I got one.

        • How much did you pay? For which model? How do these prices compare?

        • @albanyson:
Not listed here but it was the 43" X8000D for $799 in the click frenzy sale. These prices look good too. A mate picked up the 65" today

        • @MitchellJohnsonsMo:
          I'm thinking a 65 also….
The FHD versions are really coming down in price….UHD for under 2k?

KD65X7500D is $1498 or there abouts at costco for the next 2 days.

    • Nice. But how do you take it home? They don't do delivery, do they?

    • Now i feel bad about not going to Costco over weekend

  • Been trying to grasp the difference between the X7000D and the X8500D and whether it's worth $400 extra. Main difference seems to be better HDR and slightly better response time? Can anyone shed more light on this?

This is a neat little comparison site: http://www.rtings.com/tv/tools/compare
Select both X700D and the X850D

    • The 8 series has triluminos panel deeper black and brighter colours and better hdr rating from memory

      • Yeah it's better if you're after the full 4k experience. In my case not worth the extra 400.

  • I'm thinking a 65….but damn, I just don't know which

  • How do the prices reflect compared to the click frenzy sale?

  • KD75X8500D is $2999 at Costo this weekend but no stock left in ACT store

    • Wow, that's incredibly cheap! Is there anyway to check stock other than calling individual stores? I couldn't see anything online. Cheers!

      • is this true !?@

rang auburn costco to get price but wouldnt tell me!

        • No stock so no deal!

  • Hi guys, any major difference between KD55X7000D and KD55X8500D? I dont need it for gaming.

Seems a good site to look at.

      • thnx mate, the noticeable difference i could find is the refresh rate of 60 hz and 120 hz. and i guess this helps with motion blur (not sure) i got the x7000 so hopefully its not too bad

        • Let us know what you think
I just bought the Sony HTVT 790 sound bar, haven't yet pulled trigger on TV….
Nervous about making decision like that.

        • @albanyson:

Yup will do. Btw on the rtings website they have this listed in the best 2 TV's under 1000 bucks.

        • @albanyson: How much for the bar bro and from where?

        • @Savvy: best deal is today from TGG eBay, $399 with 10% ebay discount. (Discount finish today on eBay)
I got direct from Sony store for $399, free delivery. Cheaper than the TGG with added frieght of $55

Price seems same at JB, TGG, Sony store etc, all $399
Seems good price for the sound bar.

        • @albanyson: Cheers mate. Had a look at X8500d looks amazing!

        • @Savvy:
          All G.
Would like a 65"….. $2500 still a bit pricey at the moment
Hesitatant to make an outlay like that.
